Talent level is overrated and Berhalter sucks.

I'd wager most here did...and while we weren't great in those matches the one thing we did show was heart.

We aren't doing that here.

If we lose this game it will be a worse start than we had in the 2017 campaign.

I hate to say it, but if a loss means Berhalter is fired but a draw means he stays, I'll take the loss.

Despite that, I foolishly hope we see some changes at halftime and win this thing.

The first 2 games, we at least had sequences of play where we looked like we knew what the gameplan was, even if overall it was lackluster tactics.

This game it also looks like they dont really know HOW to play this combination of formation and tactics, IMO

Just disconnected offensively and defensively, lots of gaps.

I think Acosta, Adams, Pulisic, Pepi look like they have the energy and will. I think Sargent just looks like he doesnt know what he is supposed to do off the ball in this role in the formation

Bello seems to have no confidence to combine or push forward when he receives the ball around midfield, and just plays it back to McKenzie. He has looked decent when played in behind though.
Sands....a couple nice moments but just bad overall I think.

Back 3 doesnt look like they know who should do what and when.

This team, this ref, the Hondurans... all taking a piss. This is the most embarrassing and pathetic performance I've witnessed since T&T. I'd rather watch paint dry that this.

I truly feel embarrassed for Sands. But I'm sure Gregggg will have him go the full 90 like McKenzie did against Mexico.

Playing Adams out right, and Sands and Acosta together was something we talked about pregame, and was clearly a mistake.

If you take Sands out and push Adams centrally, bring in Aaronson or Konrad....can Robinson or McKenzie play right back and shift to a 4 in the back?

He made a couple nice hard cuts with the ball to free himself from pressure. I literally meant a couple nice moments, lol

Davies makes a point we've discussed before, that Sargent is better as a second striker in a 4-4-2 and not a solo #9.

Time to show us that this wasn't purely nepotism Greggg.

This is what happens when you play a LB, CB, and two #6's as your mid-field.

It's sloppy, disjointed, lacks in attack, lacks in possession, etc.
4 defensive minded players in the midfield... gives you lots of turnovers and a lack of ideas.

Sands is uncomfortable right now. He's out of position.
Adams isn't a wingback... he's out of position.
Bello looks uncomfortable.
Brooks is not fit to be a CB in a back three.

I keep seeing Puli/Sargent come back and central... to see Bello and Adams high and wide.
So we're making Puli/Sargent come back and win balls... to allow Bello and Adams space in the attacking third. Not a tradeoff I want to be making.

I asked before the match, what the formation was. It does matter.
Nobody seems to know their role / don't fit into their role.

Cannon hasnt played since the GOld CUp due to a combination of his club situation and injuries
Same for Hoppe and a few other players, club situation
Not sure about Moore.

I was sure that Shaq earned a spot in the WCQ roster but was told on here that he's trying to earn a spot / establish himself at his new club

I think the decisions to start this game are the first truly indefensible ones. I think we CAN play 3 in the back, just not with this lineup

We got 11 more games. The magic number in past qualifying campaigns has been 21. We would need to win at least 6 of the 11 to put us near that mark
