I'll give it to you that he is on track big time for this year's award. But saying he deserved it over Lewandowski last year is ridiculous. Lewy got hosed last year

In fact Lewy got hosed 2 years in a row with them cancelling the award in 2020 due to COVID even though almost every single league still finished out.

So, with the away goal rules, 3-1 Real Madrid would've been almost a clincher. But with the no away goals, Chelsea has much bigger opportunity to take it to extra time. 3-0, which would win it in regular time, Chelsea would still win. So basically, they have to score the same amount to win it, but previously a tie would've been impossible.

So, go Chelsea?
