Am I an idiot but I can't figure out how to view my tickets...what am I doing wrong?

It was not easy for me, but I downloaded the FIFA app and that was how I was able to view. Couldn't do it on a browser.

That worked....but was still a PITA....I had to go into the resale/market area to finally find them

If this is any indicator, this whole event is going to be a complete **** show

Man I was hopeful their resale marketplace might be a better format on the app.

Spoiler alert: It's not.

When you say posted to social media can you elaborate on where you posted. I am trying to sell a couple seats and maybe that is a better route

I meant that I put it out to my wife and my network of friends via Facebook/Instagram. Nothing further.

I think a huge factor is the expanded format. Fans of quality teams aren't gonna pay to see group stage games against the likes of Iraq, Curacao, etc that would've had no business being in previous WCs. For the top teams, there's almost no risk of not advancing since many 3rd place teams will also move on.

So I agree with the speculation that interest will improve once teams advance… most of the top teams are countries in the Visa waiver program so they can basically just come when they want. And I bet others (Argentina/Brazil/etc) already have secured their Visas and maybe even flights but are waiting to see where they actually end up before booking hotels.

If that's all true, then ticket prices for knockouts are going to rise once group results get confirmed.

this is exactly what we determined when looking at tickets. the expansion watered down the group stage significantly. As coworker and I were discussing....across all the games...name the ones that are big off the top of your head....best I could do was england vs croatia. There might be 3 maybe 4 games if I sat down and looked at the full schedule. Wouldn't have to do that in prior tournaments.
Once I was able to finally buy (got rejected on several draws) we compared the prices of group stage vs round of 32 and 16....in Houston.
The knockout rounds were only minimally more than the group stage. I found it odd they would consider Germany vs Curacao as a game that would draw so much demand they could charge close to what knockout rounds were. IIRC the difference in price was only like 10%.
Once we saw that we decided to just buy the 2 knockout games and then see what happens on group stage prices on 2ndary market

Thats why I think there are gonna be a lot of ticket opportunities as the games get closer. Nobody wants to shell out a $1500 bucks to take a family of 4 to see Curacao v Ivory Coast or Cape Verde v Saudi Arabia.

I was on pins and needles during the draw because I bought tickets early and we luckily got England v Croatia. The other option would have been Ghana v Panama and I'd have been pissed to pay that much money for that match.

Honestly even most of the R32 games don't look like they'll be good. That was a major factor in me choosing to sell… I saw the results of the draw and didn't like the most-likely outcomes. Buyer's remorse set in. For a few weeks I kept trying to justify my purchase and really couldn't. And then when the last application process closed, I saw how much I could sell for and jumped on it.

I think y'all are right. The impact of a correction will be asymetric. The lower demand games are going to bottom out, as are category 3 and 4 tickets. Good tickets to good matches will hold value better, but there are still deals to be had there which is why I check FIFA's site almost every day.

For example, Netherlands-Sweden should be a fun match in Houston and tickets behind goal will be located close to supporter section and should be a good atmosphere. So those might be underpriced right now compared to the experience you're getting.

I'd be all over R32 tickets in Houston tickets if there's a great deal because that match will likely have Brazil (assuming they win the group). And seeing Brazil in the WC is definitely a bucket list item.

But I'm only going to buy if it's an absolute steal because if someone like Morocco wins the group then ticket value will degrade quickly.

R16 prices in Houston are interesting right now because that will be everyone's last chance in Houston to go see a match, and of course it will be a big one.

A dream would be to find a steal of a price to semifinals in Dallas but ticket prices remain (predictably) extremely high.

Just got assigned our seats. We purchased a Category 2. We have been placed in the 600s section, Row P. For reference, the last row is T. So we shelled out for 5 rows from the actual top. Kind of horsesh*t

Sorry to hear that. It was very misleading on FIFA's part to highlight sections that they had no intention of actually giving as part of each category. Makes people think their chances of getting truly awesome seats are high, when in reality FIFA was selling those as hospitality packages and/or reserving them for sponsors, politicians, and celebrities.

100% I received corner club seats for my Cat 1 selection, and I'll live with it, but that wasn't exactly what I had in mind when I put in for them.

I have four tickets to the USA-Paraguay opener on June 12th if anyone is interested or knows someone that would be. I won the ticket lottery last October so got caught up in the moment and bought all of the USA group matches for a single price. We are going to the Seattle game but won't make the opener.

I know we won't get back what we paid for them at this point so would love to sell them directly to another Ag to avoid the fees on the FIFA marketplace.

Email me at username@aol.com if you're interested.

For those interested, looks like FIFA has released hundreds if not >1,000 Cat 1 seats to semifinal match at Jerryworld.

$3,710 for Section 125, corner sections of 200s, or midfield sections in 300s.

I haven't seen this type of block release to other matches I'm tracking for Dallas and Houston but seems like a ton of seats to be dumping on market and will definitely undercut secondary market.

Because those *******s held a **** ton back to create scarcity to drive sales and it failed probably

The tickets seem to be moving very slowly. I checked section 125 again and looks like maybe 4 or 6 out of ~100 have sold in the last 24 hours. The longer they sit the less likely people are going to want to pay that amount.
deadbq03

They have 2 months to move them. And their endgame may well be to have some of these still sitting there available at those prices as teams advance… so fans of advancing teams can buy direct from them rather than paying scalpers.

And I'm not necessarily saying there's no risk of this failing. But if their scheme had already failed, then they'd be slashing prices. Instead, they perceive that demand is still high so they price accordingly. And they have their own secondary marketplace so they know precisely what price things are moving for… they're not guessing here.

Actually I'll take it back and be blunt: in the grand scheme of things there's zero risk of failure. Even if they have to reduce these prices later, the fact is that by creating scarcity in previous releases, they have already been able to sell at prices that are unheard of for them. They've already won (financially anyways - who knows how much longer they can keep having PR defeats. Seems like there's serious PR drama with every WC, but if Roger Bennett is right, no one really cares and we'll keep bending the knee to the FIFA overlords).

this goes along with my post above...when we looked at hte seat options in houston we immediately thru out Cat 3....we knew 100% those were nosebleeds. So it was between Cat 2 and Cat 1. The price difference was only around $100/ticket IIRC. It was nominal enough that we said "even if we get stuck at club level in the corners" it would be worth it. We knew Cat 2 brought in the chance to effectively be nosebleeds and we wanted to avoid that scenario. So we went Cat 1 and we are in the corners. One game is club level. One game is lower level but high enough row.

We went to the Argentina game to see Messi in Houston and had club seats in the corner and we were talking about how they would be excellent seats for the WC. High enough up to have a decent view of the other end of hte field and watch plays develop. And of course then the action right in front.

So we're happy with our seats. The lower level ones I'm more worried about the view than the club level honestly.

Any of my visa people get their tickets yet? I thought we would get them on the 18th, but I haven't seen anything in my email and I cannot access them on the app or fifa dot com. And, fifa dot com is pretty terrible.

Got my tickets in the FWC2026 app. Section is 317 for the Netherlands/Sweden game.

I saw that the Netherlands do a traditional march to the stadium in all orange. Going to be from Rice University to NRG or Houston Stadium. Depending on the weather, that would be cool to see.

Rice to NRG in the middle of summer for visitors will end up looking more like the Bataan Death March than whatever they normally do.

Tickets are continuing to come down. If you are just dying to go to a WC match with caring who you see, the Cabo Verde v Saudi match in Houston has tickets down in the $100s.

Several of the mid-tier matches are probably gonna be close to face value by June 1 and will hopefully continue to drop with the dates getting closer.

I'm seeing the opposite on the knockout games I'm watching. M78 for example was sub-$400 a couple weeks ago, but this week it's nearly $200 higher.

But I do think group stage will continue to drop to anyone interested.

I am thinking the vast majority of group stage games will come down in price. The ones that are really bad like the saudi vs cabo game you mentioned will be even worse. I won't be surprised if tickets for that game just a day or two before will be $20.

I also think deadbq is on to something. Talking with coworkers who like soccer and some bought tickets....they are all saying how excited they are for the knockout rounds. I think that's going to be the POV of many folks out there and will drive up demand.

Shifting gears a little....whats everyones plan for transportation/parking for Houston games?

Good question. I can park in my work parking garage downtown and jump on the train, but wonder if that will be worth it. I am also thinking about parking in the street by my old apartment off Cambridge and walking.

Especially with a bunch of Swedes and Dutchmen who have no idea what summer in Houston will be like. LOL

I'm going to that match so might look at the route and see if we can jump on somewhere between Rice and NRG. Don't really want to walk the entire way.

similar...I work off allen parkway by the treasury so have parking there. its a question of getting to/from NRG. I thought about the train. Would likely take a LONG time with all of the stops but likely beats parking. Except not sure how it would be leaving the stadium and how packed the train will be. But then again...after the game could just sit in the A/C at NRG until they kick us out. Maybe the line for the train won't be as bad at that point.

the talk of the march into the stadium and the other poster got me thinking about parking on the street somewhere and walking in.

I am just going to beat it with my wallet. I will fork over some ungodly sum of money just to park at or near the stadium. Don't want to mess with uber or the stupid train and I will have the kids with me, so can't hike 5 miles in June. Sometimes the *******s win and you just gotta pay.
