No there was a difference. I'm not saying it wasn't a flagrant, but Haywood was scrambling just to get a hand on Gasol and it accidentally went too high. Bynum was doing his best to flatten Barea.

Gasol and Haywood are similar in size and Haywood was scrambling. Bynum took out a midget out of frustration when getting blown out in a sweep. Big difference.

The Lakers are back - they're ready for a title run. Love the crunch time lineup. Matt Barnes defines clutch. This game proves they don't need to make a move.

Officially at the halfway point and I am happy with where the Mavs are. The rotation is in order, the defense is as good as last year and Dirk is coming on strong. The west is wide open and seeding won't really matter this year. Whoever is hot at the end will have the advantage. Whether a team was hot on 2/22/12 will be irrelevant. A team like Portland could turn out to be as dangerous as OKC. Should be a fun 2nd half (more fun than watching A&M basketball at least).

Anddddd Haywoods foul upgraded to flagrant 2. Trash player shouldve been ejected...possibly fined.

I can't remember - did they change the rule interpretation after the Rondo-Bulls non-flagrant? To me it was the same situation from the leagues perspective. Frantic play at the end of a close game - defender trying at all costs to prevent a made basket.

To clarify your question, no they arent on the same level. He defintely threw his forearm into Gasol's face, but he went for the ball with his other hand, and Pau was also on the ground.

Barea was airborn, 1/4 the size of Bynum, and Bynum didnt even try for the ball. They were not the same.

1...have to move to fill the extra roster spot by the 16th. The only benefit to buying him out.

2.....he will turn around and go right back to one of the LA teams for dirt cheap. This helps the mavs how?

Him going to either of the LA teams would be better for Dallas. A much, much better player (Dirk) couldn't just turn it on. Odom has been dogging it for a long time now.

Him and Jabba the Kardashian can go back to being "celebrities" in LA and infect either of those teams.
