That's kind of my point. We're talking about the best perimeter defenders of the 00s and you're trying to talk about a playoff series from the mid-90s.

Well, to be fair, the topic is "players you cannot stand". So I guess you can just add Dream to your list? That way this whole conversation is valid and relevant.

But that playoff series from the mid 90's was an all-time classic. I've never seen anything like it, before or since. It was the greatest individual performance over a series that I have ever seen. The Dream was indescribably good.

Shark that was hilarious. I'm not sure what there is to hate about Bonner.

He's great.

I don't hate Bonner, I just don't want him in the playoff rotation.

He does always disappear during the playoffs. But if we want to have any chance at contending, he needs to be in there to spread the floor (and hitting his shots). If we don't have them in there, we don't have a shot IMO.

As a hardcore Rockets fan of the last two decades, my list is a bit different:

1. Any member of the Utah Jazz from '08-'10 (Williams, Boozer, Kirilenko, Korver, Okur, Brewer)
2. Kobe
3. Ginobli
4. Tony Parker

This. Unfortunately he is pretty inconsistent. But I still like the guy and love rooting for him. The dude seems to be a pretty genuine guy.

RJ can already go out and hit a decent percentage of 3s and not defend, rebound, or contribute to the offense in any other way.

The Spurs have 6 players (counting Bonner) who shoot 35% or better from 3 and play more than 20 minutes per game. Parker's percentage from 3 isn't that good this year, but he still spreads the court pretty well with his jumpers. Yes, Bonner is fantastic at hitting open threes, but there aren't that many open threes in the playoffs so he struggles.

It's not about only about hitting the threes. It's about opening up the lane by bringing a big on the other team out of there. Pop went on to say this is the best ball Bonner has ever played in his career. And it's not like the Spurs have many options at the 4/5. He and Tiago will get a lot of playing time with Blair getting the short end of the stick in the playoffs.
