'07 was still mostly Duncan's team. He averaged 22, 11.5, 3.3 assists, 3.1 blocks, and shot 52% from the field in the playoffs. TP just happened to be a nightmare matchup for the Cavs.

No way Oui Oui gets the MVP. And for the genius who said Westbrook is an injury risk....you do realize he's never missed a game in his NBA career, right?

Injury or not, he didn't meet the potential that was there in front of him after the Memphis series. If he fights through the injury and makes a bigger impact on this series then he had it.
quote:Dirk's coach forced him to sit after injury in 03. Parker is closer to Dirk 06, 07 or 11. Parker was at the cusp of becoming a legend and fell short - a 2nd Finals MVP, 1st PG since Magic to lead his team as the franchise superstar to a title, 3rd best player in the league, etc. But he's not done.
So kinda like Dirk in 03?

look at his stats for this series. He shrunk big time. he had big shots in game 1 & 6, but he wasn't big time throughout the series. he deserves the 2011 finals lebron treatment
quote:Parker has not won a title since ascending to the role of franchise player. If you're content to slot him there then that's fine, but it's odd coming in a thread where you all say he's the 3rd best player in the league. That's a title that comes with expectations.

If that makes you feel better. Parker has three rings as a starter and a Finals MVP. He has his legacy locked down. How many other PGs have that resume?
