Is McGrady gonna play or is it just a "show and tell" situation?

Like last year.

Pop said when they signed him that he was a ways away from seeing the court.

McGrady, who hasn't played since early February also confirmed that has been a "couch potato" since he returned from China and is still out of shape but working hard.

I'd expect him to start getting some court time in blowout situations pretty soon but I don't see the Spurs playing him any meaningful minutes in the near future.

The Spurs signed him because they had an extra roster spot and they only have 1 SF on the roster with Jack gone. Team like DEN/GS/OKC also play a lot of small ball which McGrady could really help in those situations. The Lakers don't really present that problem.

This is a rough defensive lineup. Ginobili isn't great anyone, Neal sucks, Joseph isn't proven, and Bonner is Bonner. Blair can be OK but Dwight Howard.

Gosh damnit Blair sucks. Get him out.

We used to run that play with RJ every once in awhile.

IMO, Bonner is playing fairly well. He's getting pushed around by Howard some, but we all saw that coming. At least he's in position and is contesting Howard's shots to some extent. On the other hand, creaky, oft-injured, 30 something year old Gasol is making Blair look like Blair is wearing concrete shoes. It's absolutely pathetic.

Spurs shoot incredible, far above their season avg, and it feels like it should be tied.

Actually the Lakers are lucky to only be down 8 bring out shot 43%-52%

Wasn't his fault tbh. Blair left him in no mans land by being an idiot and jumping at that pump fake.

It's not really incredible when we get wide open look after wide open look.

Howard and Pau got to go against our ****ty front line of Bonner and Blair and the Lakers couldn't even capitalize on that.

Only reason you saw that lineup is because Pop didn't want Splitter to pick up #3 before half.
