No you can't. You cannot name 9 better players playing today, if you're talking about careers and not current ability.

Wait, what? You just mixed up the question I asked you...if you're saying all-time, well yes I can name 9 if not more players that are better than Duncan, and if you're saying playing today there are more than 9 better players better in the NBA than Duncan, so, yes I can again.

FYI, prepy is a troll.

I've said it to you before, but you apparently don't listen...just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't make them a troll...I wonder if you walk around in real life calling be trolls when you discuss different topics...lmao

I didn't mix anything up. Name 9 current players that have been better than Duncan throughout their careers. Protip: You can't.

If Lebron had played power forward, would he have been the greatest power forward ever? It's a possibility.

Lmao...so I'm judging current players by their careers? What about a player like john wall or kyrie Irving? Both are clearly better players than Duncan today, but have only been in the league for two years...wouldnt we judge his career historically and his current talent level against other current players?

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Wouldn't it be you can't name 10 players better than Duncan? Not 9? If you could only name 9, that would make him top 10.

Lmao...yes.

How could you possibly compare current Duncan, well past his prime, to players in their 20's? Are you an idiot or just trolling?

I'll bite.......You do realize Duncan made all nba first team last year right? At 37. Think about that for a second. Dude was also 28 seconds away from being Finals MVP. And you're comparing him to Wall and Iriving? LOL.

Finals MVP is an overrated award. Congrats, you were the best player in the series. There are always better players in the playoffs that didn't make it to the finals because their team is garbage
Brian Earl Spilner

You are the best player in a series taking place 8 months into the season, against the best team of the opposite conference, playing on a team that made it through every round of playoffs, most likely due in large part to your own contributions.

May not be an MVP award, but it's not an easy trophy to get.

Name a player better than Dirk in the playoffs in 2011. You can't. Dumb statement.

How can you possibly compare Duncan's career, a 37 year old 14+ year vet, to current players with an average experience of approximately 4.71 years? Are you an idiot or just trolling as well?

You're just reaching...you sound like Mr. Baseball, "I led this club in 9th inning doubles in the month of August. You're right, I can't name 9 players playing in the NBA today that have better careers than Duncan right now.

But I can name more than 9 better players that have retired and I can name 9 better players based on talent in the game today as well...but you're right, there's not many 37 year old 14+ year vets in the league like Duncan...good call.

Don't feed me this bullcrap. There are plenty of vets in the league (Garnett, Nash, Dirk, Kobe, etc). Your comparison is a LOT more reaching than mine.

And by Bullcrap do you mean facts? Yeah I see your point; it's much more fair to compare Tim Duncan and his 14 years in the league to, say, John Wall and his 1.25 years in the league...I see what you mean. (at least you answered my question whether you meant to or not, but you're obviously trolling. Well done sir.

Good God you're a moron, but I'll play along.

Tell you what, take any current player you want, and compare their career to the equivalent of Duncan's career. (Ie. You'd compare John Wall to Duncan's first 1.25 years of his career)

That's about as fair a comparison as we can make, right? Now name 9 better active players than Duncan in this scenario.

I'm the moron? You want to compare a player, who's been in teh NBA for 14 years to other players who average 4.71 years...since I'm so stupid and don't understand, please explain how that's an appropriate comparison? Don't worry, I'll wait..

One of the interesting things about debating with Kevin Garnett fans is that once you bring up the playoffs they get silent.

Jkeefeag hasn't responded to any of my posts detailing why and how Kevin Garnett is overrated.

Here is a random playoff stat.

Playoff Seasons where Power Forward X averaged over 25 PPG.

Dirk (9)
Barkley (6)
Karl Malone (12)
Kevin Garnett (1)

Finals MVPs won by those players: 1
Championships won by those players: 2

Why post meaningless random stats?

Duncan is averaging 14.1, 9.5, 3.1, and 2 blocks in his 17th season.

8 of his last 9 games have been double-doubles (the other game was 9-12-4-4). In that 9 game stretch, Duncan is averaging 16.3 points, 12.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.8 steals, and 2.6 blocks in 31 minutes per game. That doesn't even count his 20-20 game.

Don't know where I heard this but Duncan is really close to becoming all time double double leader.
Ganondorf

http://www.basketball-reference.com/blog/?p=9181

He's close since they started counting them. What I saw on I've site is that Wilt has over 900 but it isn't official anywhere.

That link shows 1986-2011 and Duncan was getting close then.

I just ran the screen myself, these should be up to date.

Karl Malone 811
Tim Duncan 777
Kevin Garnett 735
Shaq 727

I know Darko barely played that season. That was the point...an early ring isn't much of an argument in a player's favor. With no context, its an empty stat by itself.

Your earlier post stated it like it was an argument clincher.
