You are the best player in a series taking place 8 months into the season, against the best team of the opposite conference, playing on a team that made it through every round of playoffs, most likely due in large part to your own contributions.

May not be an MVP award, but it's not an easy trophy to get.

Duncan is averaging 14.1, 9.5, 3.1, and 2 blocks in his 17th season.

8 of his last 9 games have been double-doubles (the other game was 9-12-4-4). In that 9 game stretch, Duncan is averaging 16.3 points, 12.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.8 steals, and 2.6 blocks in 31 minutes per game. That doesn't even count his 20-20 game.

He's close since they started counting them. What I saw on I've site is that Wilt has over 900 but it isn't official anywhere.

That link shows 1986-2011 and Duncan was getting close then.
