I didn't even notice the Marcus Smart flop at the end. That was pretty epic.

That dude flops worse than Chris Paul ever thought about...it's pathetic. There's selling a call, and then there's Smart's garbage.

On the flagrant Harden maybe got his cheek but he grabbed his nose and flew down like it was broken.

The flagrant was embellished by Smart, but also pretty consistent with how the NBA calls those things these days. His flop on the last play...now that's a different story.

I honestly thought what James did warranted a flagrant

Absolutely. But if they called a foul when Smart had his arms wrapped then I doubt James puts his elbows high.

From The Chron:

Quote:

Motiejuna's agent B.J. Armstrong confirmed that Motiejunas skipped the physical.

"We have our rights," Armstrong said. "We're not going to show up. We'll see what happens. We'll see what the Rockets do. We have our rights."

Asked what Motiejunas hopes the Rockets choose, Armstrong said, "We'll see. We'll see what they do."

**** this I didn't want him in the first place. I never ****ing liked the guy anyways. No way do I want us spending $9 mil a year on him when the replacement players are better.

What does D Mo think is going to happen here? If he chooses not to show up does he magically become an unrestricted FA?

Sounds like the dude needs to grow up and maybe get a new agent.

The Rockets have two days to either leave the offer open or send him back to RFA status. If they send him back to RFA status he cannot sign w/ the Nets for a period of one year, but he could potentially sign an offer sheet with another team. Rockets could waive the physical, but Watkins is saying that won't happen.

My guess as to what is going on....BJ Armstrong realizes the Rockets aren't going to up their QO from the 4-5 million range so he seeks out teams with cap space that would be willing to add D-Mo. He finds his match with the Nets who give him an offer sheet. Morey talks to Les and they decide the offer is team friendly so they decide to match. Armstrong tells D-Mo not to show up for the physical to either (A) force the Rockets to return him to RFA status where a deal with another team aside from the Nets is possible (B) force the Rockets to waive the physical knowing there might be some issues with passing or (C) make the Rockets hold the offer open so he can continue to decide along with D-Mo what the next move is.

Interesting discussion taking place about how Armstrong might be using D-Mo as a test case to change some of the RFA rules in the next CBA.

This whole time I've just been telling myself over and over that this whole situation has been all his agent and not his own doing. But this kind of **** throws that out the window.

He and his agent want him to skip practice so that the Rockets will cut him. Normally I hate decisions made based on pride and ego, but I say I don't give him what he wants.

Montrezl Harrell is about to shine so much right now. He has had a solid stretch these last few weeks in what would have been D-Mo minutes. If D-Mo (and BJ) want to bail, we will be fine. Possibly better.

If those are my options and I am making the decisions for the Rockets I think I let him go back to RFA. By no means should we sign him without a physical.

Let him return to RFA, see if anyone else wants him, if they offer a contract much better than the Nets, let him walk. If another offer comes up that is similar to the one the Nets signed him to then choose to match again, and again on the next one if you have to.

This ensures that D Mo isn't getting paid and the Rockets still retain their rights even though he clearly isn't interested in playing here.

All of this is assuming that I understand this correctly. And that is a big if.

Get rid of him. We don't need a baby on the team like we've had the last three years.

He's not a good shooter and will be out hurt half the season anyway.

I say **** him. Do what you can to not give him what he wants.

I know it seems spiteful, but maybe he deserves a good spiting.

Never understood everyone's love with D-Mo. Always thought he was a below average shooter with above average post moves and zero skill on the defensive side of the ball. That being said, I have met BJ three times in my life and I do not have a single good thing to say about him. Seems like he is too involved with his clients and the team they're with.

And there is a rumor floating around that the Jazz are interested....

So hold the offer open until March 1st and let it expire naturally OR revoke and send him back to RFA status seem to be the two options here

If DMO is going all in on a bigger deal then I could call his bluff and make him wait.
