If DMO is going all in on a bigger deal then I could call his bluff and make him wait.

I know the guy is a legit 7 footer but why does he think he deserves a larger contract? His back has been about as reliable as Derrick Rose's legs up to this point.

I consider the guy a non-entity at this point, and had honestly forgotten about him until this latest hoop-de-do, no pun intended.

He's not worth all of the side bull*****

Let the Jazz clog up their financials for him....and we'll just look at him as he rides the bench behind Trey Lyles. And when he does get on the floor.....go right at him.

Also, just give him those corner 3s....at 27%

Guy has a similar career according to basketballreference to some dude named Wah Wah Jones

Don't let the door hit you on the way out bub.

Every game that goes by is another game DMo is getting out of game shape. I say let him wait. Eventually he'll figure out that no one will want a guy who is completely out of playing shape.

I just don't want another Royce White saga. It will distract from the relative success of the team right now.

Other than the guys who may lose a few minutes I have a hard time imagining the players on this team care what D Mo does at this point.

I could be wrong though, who really knows with these kind of things.

Here is what I don't get: DMO has been a RFA for a looooonnnngggg time before he got that offer from the Nets. My assumption is that he finally signed with the Nets because it was the largest contract a team had offered him. If the Rockets pull the offer sheet, and he returns to RFA status, why would anyone give him more more money?

If I were the Rockets brass, I'd pull the offer sheet and let him try to "re-shop" himself. He comes back with a bigger contract (which seems unlikely) I would "match" and then wait for the physical again....then I would just pull the offer at the physical if the money was too high. If he wants to play games, let him jump through hoops. He isn't in the building and the team is playing well right now so I doubt this impacts team chemistry.

Rumor is DMO thinks the Jazz are going to give him more money. His agent is the worst ever

This is what I was thinking as well. D Mo thinks he has more leverage here than he does.

There is no reason the Rockets to give in to D Mo or his agent, I just don't see anything in it for the Rockets.

Just got 2 seats in 116 for the Mavs game Sat night for $40 each off flash seats. I love flash seats.

Yup. Pretty normal occurrence this season when we aren't playing Clevland/GS/Spurs/Clip

Quote:

Last week, Motiejunas signed a four-year, $37 million offer sheet with the Nets. The Rockets on Monday opted to match that offer. However, based on the CBA, the Rockets only had to match the principle terms of the offer sheet, which came to $31 million.
The $6 million difference was to be paid to Motiejunas via incentive clauses if he played for the Nets.
After the Rockets matched the offer sheet, Motiejunas had two days to report for his physical, which his agent B.J. Armstrong told the team he would not do.

So basically BJ and/or D-Mo are pissed that the Rockets won't throw in the 6 million dollars in incentives that the Nets had offered.

Definitely. Last season prices were low but this season is even lower even though team is doing pretty good.

I noticed last season that interest picked up in early January. There are a lot of people that think the NBA season doesn't start until football ends.

With that said, over the last few seasons I have been able to attend about 25 games per season and make back enough money on my season tickets that I had a very small renewal charge. I am starting to think that may not be the case this year.

Hopefully prices will go up at least a little bit, if not I guess I'll be shelling out more cash than I planned on when the renewal process comes around. (the Rockets really have the renewal timed perfectly as well, late March and tying this seasons playoffs to next seasons renewal has always felt a bit like extortion)

With the flood of TV money coming in, these ******* better do something to lower ticket prices.

Every year they call to sell me season tickets, 10 game packs, 5 game packs, ect. And every year I tell them until it is cheaper for me to buy directly from them I won't. They go through the whole gambit of how they are cheaper than face value when you buy as packages or season tickets and there are less fees and you get playoff access. And I still explain that it is far cheaper to go through flashseats and buy from the secondary market.

I will never pay over $100 for any non playoff seat in Toyota center unless it's in club section and I have gotten club section seats before for less than $100. $50 is about the max I will pay for any lower non club seat and I have found no reason to find that unreasonable, as I always manage to find good seats.

All of that. Always try my luck for some last minute tickets on Flash where people are just trying to unload them. I realize it might not be ideal for people who don't live in the city, but it works well for me. I do the same for concerts.

I think there is a threshold that is met with amount of games played per year. Football makes sense having so much demand and high prices with the maximum of 1 game a week for a few months. With basketball, they are playing almost half the amount of games baseball does but I don't think that translates into twice the price on tickets. When you have 41 home games translating into sometimes 2 or 3 home game a week I think it's pretty absurd to want $80+ for similar level seats that would be around $40 at an Astros game.

Yup. Most NBA tickets are way overpriced for season ticket holders. If it weren't for all the corporate seats being sold prices would be much cheaper.

My season tickets are cheaper than we could pay on a game by game basis. But I'm also up in the 3rd row of the baseline uppers with the working class people.

Live sports, especially NBA basketball, is one of my favorite things to do with my time. Season tickets also give me the flexibility to pick and choose which games I want to attend and which ones I don't.

Harden with only 6 boards and 7 assists and I doubt he plays much at all in the 4th.

I like how that turned into the Trez show. Filthy dunk on Randle and a near "paying homage to Dream" moment
