We had a great run of LAL being completely irrelevant. **** LA, **** LeBron. I doubt he gets another ring to be honest. Jordan is still the GOAT
Im looking for Ray Finkle.... and a clean pair of shorts. Im just a very big Finkle fan. This is my Graceland, sir.

We're still better than the Lakers (as it stands right now [assuming we resign Luc]).

Even with Leonard I'm not convinced they're better than GS still

Keeping Capela is a must but it's going to be expensive, someone is going to make him a monster offer and force Morey to call.

100 percent chance capela gets a max offer unfortunately you have to match. We have a 1-2 year window max. If Capela goes elsewhere I could see him being a major flop. He's not a #1 or #2 and this system fits him well

From who? No one has that money now.

LA Lebrons
They'd be tying up their cash with the risk that Houston matches. I think they'll go for Cousins + Kawhi first.

I'm interested to see the packages they're offering NO and SA

They shortened the amount of time it is tied up.

Best way to take over nba is to take from one of the 2 best right? They're absolutely gonna give him a max offer

Me trying to figure out what this means just shows how absurd and entertaining NBA free agency is.
Lebron going to LA means no max offer sheet from Lakers

Julius Randle informed the Lakers he doesn't want to stay and the Lakers had enough money to sign LeBron and Paul George. They have room if they want it

More likely that it's just a late reaction tweet to Ariza leaving.

So we are paying more for CP3 than the Lakers are for LBJ

Because CP3 stayed on the same team and LeBron went to a new one.

Both players got a max deal.

NBA needs to get rid of individual max player deals - or maybe make the max for one player 50% of the total spend for the team (not "cap).

The Warriors no matter what are going to deservedly be the favorite going into next season, regardless of what trades or FA moves are made by other teams this summer. Curry + Durant + Klay + Draymond (all 30 years old or younger) is still going to be the most stacked deck in the league.

LeBron + Kawhi plus some decent filler around them on the Lakers would be interesting as a 'possible contender', but still not enough to make you think 'Oh, yeah, better than the Warriors'.

You also have to look at the fact that LeBron has about 55000 total NBA minutes played so far. I realize he keeps himself in fantastic shape and rumors are that he devotes like 2mm/year to recovery, but that is going to catch up to him eventually. He turns 34 at the beginning of the season. Kobe was the same way. Kept himself in fantastic shape, wasn't hurt often. Then one day his achilles tendon blew out on a non-contact first step.

LeBron is around 55,000 minutes right now:

The Laker's just signed Rondo for 9 mill and renounced Randle. How much more money could they possibly have to offer Capela a max?

I feel like LA is assembling one of the worst perimeter shooting teams in the league.

They don't anymore. They are essentially done barring a trade. They met with Capela before they signed all these guys. All one year deals so they can go after Klay Thompson or Kawhi next year.

After Rondo it looks like the Lakers have about 5 mill of cap to offer free agents. By all means, PLEASE offer that max possible deal to Capela. 4 years 20 mill sounds like the steal of the century for Daryl to match.

The teams with Cap space left now are the Kings with 17 mill to offer. They're compete wildcards and may offer it; wouldn't be that bad of an outcome; Rockets would match that fair price. Pacers have 13 mill which the Rockets would match trying to hide their grins. Bulls and Suns aren't touching Clint because they are going to save their cap space for 2019. The only other team left is the 76ers with 17 mill left, but are they really going to try to play 3 bigmen?

Honestly the Rockets should be looking at other cap casualties like Boogie for the mid level at this point. Because Capela isn't going anywhere. Because it seems to me that the teams with cap room left either can offer him what he's worth or less. And if I've missed a team, let me know. I will say that Capela might sign a one year 10/mill or something to be able when money flows again next year.

Silver has to veto that or the 2018-2019 was just decided. Absolutely ridiculous.
