It's going to be pretty tough for Cousins to even be 75% of the player he was coming off a torn achilles. He may play 30 regular season games max but if he's healthy for the playoffs, the season is over.

That said, maybe Mr. Clean will finally be exposed as a terrible commissioner rather than the savior basketball pundits claim him to be. If he does not veto this deal, the ratings dip the NBA sees due to lack of competition will be on him.

Watch, they'll make the warriors play the rockets on Christmas Day. The rockets will win easily because all the warriors players don't give a damn about the regular season. Then all the pundits will say SEE THE ROCKETS MAY BEAT THE WARRIORS THIS YEAR!!! And then the warriors will beat the rockets in the playoffs in 5-6 games.

The NBA is a joke. Why would anyone watch such an unbalanced league?

He won't be able to play against us. He can't guard the perimeter and will get roasted on switches. He's even taking shots away from curry and durant on offense.

David West may be retiring and hypothetically say Boogie fills that role of second unit big by playoff time. Even at 75%, is Boogie going to be an upgrade over a guy like West? Probably...and the Warriors can surround anybody with three of the greatest shooters in the league. lots of question marks how well Cousins can rehab. We'll see.

If CP3 stays healthy, I'm not sure this makes it much worse for us. If he doesn't stay healthy... then this is all moot anyway.

Warriors had Steph Curry coming off an injury and Andre Iguodala unable to play for most of the WCF. Rockets were close to beating the Warriors, but could not close out the series.

If the shooters get cold they can just dumb it down low. Boogey would eat Capelas lunch. It's a brand new dimension that gives them a plan A, B, & C that tops most teams plan A.

We'll see but I disagree on Cousins eating Capela's lunch. Think Clint could hold his own.

Also if they are dumping into him then hit your shots and you're exchanging 2s for 3s. Teams should be praying that they dump down into Cousins. Especially teams that shoot the 3 like the Rockets.

We'll see though. I don't mean to derail the off-season thread with Xs and Os.

This neutered Lebron and the Lakers..... they have no chance with how awful their outside shooting is at the moment.

Doesn't really afftect a Warriors/ Rockets series, IMO. They played without a true center against us 99% of the time. Can you imagine Harden or Paul ISO'ed up against Cousins?

At this point Capela has no leverage. The Rockets are going to get him at a very nice price. As for the one year tax payer Cousins deal, they're not the only ones who can play this game. Go get Dwight for 823k/1 year or offer Tyreke Evans the mid level exception. Lots of cap casualties to be signed still.
