Have you not paid attention to Michael Jordan before this came out? Go watch his HoF speech

He's the GOAT, but also a thinned skinned whiney jerk

I'm not disputing the fact that he's a gigantic ******* but I hardly think he's "constantly" doing anything to try and make himself look like the GOAT. And I just rewatched his HOF speech Saturday night. I still don't think it's as bad as so many people seem to make it out to be. I wish he'd spent more time thanking those that helped him get to that level instead of pointing out the times he felt slighted but that's really what made him work so hard to get to that level anyway.

Since Jordan retired (for good) he's slowly but surely became more and more bitter and resentful. That's how I've seen him over the years. I think going from the center of the sports world to a retired athlete was hard on him. Every time a new super star in the NBA emerged it probably rubbed him the wrong way. Did you ever notice how quickly he dismissed Lebron but would prop Kobe up? Kobe was never going to be anything other than a poor man's Jordan and he knew that. He would praise Kobe all day, but dismissed Lebron. Lebron is also 6'8 260lbs, can play at least 4 positions on the court, 5 depending on the opponent.

These super star athletes care about their legacy. Schwarzenegger said years ago he wanted to be remembered for thousands of years, like Jesus! Wtf?! Jordan is no different and doesnt want his legacy blurred by the stars in the game today.

Jordan has been sitting back in retirement, watching records fall, the game evolve and hates the idea of being dethroned. This documentary seems full of him taking shots at everyone around him. There is some psychology behind this. The guy seems very unhappy.

Specifically, which records is he bitter about having been broken?

Alot of guys who played in MJ's generation aren't huge fans of the way the game has evolved... so that's not just an MJ thing.

No big time competitor wants to be dethroned. Luckily for MJ, he still hasn't been.

And obviously MJ is going to favor Kobe (vs Lebron) because Kobe was his protege and played the game the same way he did. I don't understand why this is a big deal.

Exactly. The game is a lot more offensive friendly now and scoring in bunches is easy. Every night 120 is possible in regulation
