Halftime karaoke contest was the best part of the game.

I used 3 tickets for me and my wife....had 2 of the 3 there when we got there. Went to get a drink at half and came back and 1 of those 2 were gone. Don't care about the shirt, but people suck.

I'm not some guy that rants about masks....but let the people singing at half take off their damn masks!!!!

Dance cam was back in full force tonight! Love the one featured lady they always show - she's the best and her husband just loves it.

Had the same happen when we got back from halftime. My brother was pissed and wanted his shirt but then we noticed that employees were going around picking up the extra shirts because it was nowhere close to a sellout.

I have a feeling that is probably an NBA rule for people on the court who aren't participating in the game.

Ok I'm going to say it...we drafted the wrong guy. Evan Mobley was the right choice.

Calm down. We are a half dozen games into their rookie season, Green is 19yo and is playing on a bad team that doesn't have a PG. Mobley has two Garland and Rubio, plus Collin Sexton. Plus Mobley plays the same spot as Christian Wood.

Wake me up when he has an injury below the knee and is never the same player anymore.

I liked Mobley more before the draft too. I got onboard with Green and I still see his potential, but any doubts I had about Mobley's game are gone. I think he is going to be a star.

They play Mobley with Allen. The kid can play several positions and is already a really good NBA defender.

Christian Wood isn't so good that you let it influence your drafting. Also, its actually possible that Mobley would have made Wood better. He is making Allen better, so it's not crazy. He might have actually hurt our chances to tank this year.

Same thing could happen to Green. Green isn't a starting calibre NBA player right now; In fact, on a good team he might not even play. The entire reason the Rockets drafted him and currently start him is due to his athletic potential. If Green has a serious knee or ankle injury and loses even a fraction of his jumping ability he will be a fairly useless player.

Also, your reasoning could be used to never draft a skinny player over 6 foot 8. If you held that philosophy you wouldn't draft a player like Giannis, AD, KD, Dirk or Duncan. Most NBA titles start by drafting a tall skinny kid....

Incorrect. Lower leg injuries affect players over 6'10 disproportionately worse. You can't name the most freak-of-nature players the league has ever seen and act like it's the norm to overcome them.

While I will not at all agree that enough time has passed to make any sort of conclusions about Jalen Green….it's certainly real, real rough right now.

Everything about this team is very difficult to watch. Something's gotta give.

KPJ has been real, real bad in this 4th Q. Giving up rebounds, can't shoot, turnovers, fouls, and a tech. Lakers wanted to choke this game away, but we can't shoot for *****

The only way to win a title is to bag one of those freak of nature players. You have to take the risk or you won't ever win anything. It is possible that Mobley will get injured, but he also has the same physical toolset of guys who have dominated the league and won multiple titles.

This is going to be a 4-5 year debate. We have to see what Green looks like after he adds 15-20 lbs of muscle. If he has the same athleticism with the added weight, he might make me eat my words. Until then, I'm sticking with my prediction that Mobley is going to be the best player in this draft.

He hit his season average of 6 TOs.

This kid is not a point guard.

We need a veteran PG that can control the offense and doesn't really care about not playing for a championship team.

Y'know, someone like John Wall....

At this point it's in the Rockets' and John Wall's best interests if he suits up again. Nobody is trading for him and we clearly didn't reach an agreed buyout. Make him earn his money AND give another team the opportunity to actually want him.

This. We may well end up with buyers remorse for taking Green over Mobly but the idea that we should make that decision off of their first 10 games in the NBA is absurd.

Let's see where all of this plays out and hope that Green continues to develop.

Fair enough. I'll stop posting about Mobley.

Slightly shifting gears: Is there actually a good track record of the approach that we are taking with Green?

He certainly doesn't deserve to start for an NBA team at this point and I'm worried we are sending him the wrong message. We are just giving him starters minutes even though Eric Gordon is waaayyy better than him right now. I can't think of an instance where a rookie has been *given* starters minutes and they turned out to be great. Most of these high potential kids reach their limits by trying to earn their playing time OR they are good enough to earn time right away (like Mobley...last time...I promise). I'm worried that giving him playing time based upon unrealized potential may stunt his growth.
