Lebron retweeted and now Chron running a story on it.

Even if it were a dig at his real dad, that announcer better get his story about how he thought it was the Kevin Porter of Washington Bullets really fast if he wants a chance at keeping his job.

I was actually watching the Wizards feed and I heard it. I think it was an honest mistake. I remember thinking..."I didn't know KPJ's dad was in the league"....

They weren't a very good broadcast team in my opinion. Not very knowledgeable of their opponents...pretty obvious now.

If in 15-30 or so years there was some young random player for the Orlando Magic or Chicago Bulls with the name Eric Gordon Jr or Aaron Brooks Jr. or Kevin Martin Jr, it would be easy (lazy) to assume that the young player was the son of the former Rocket. If I had to guess whether a random Wizards announcer was making a (wrong) assumption based on name or had prepared one of the most clever and mean-spirited lines to ever be uttered by an opposing team's announcers, I'm guessing it was the lazy assumption.

Was it an honest mistake or could the announcer be that ballsy?

I think it was just a dumb mistake and terrible luck. If KPJ's dad was an accountant, this would be a benign mistake.

Kevin Porter led the league in assists 3x (twice for the Bullets), so that's a name that would have been heard a lot for anyone that works in or around that organization...so it's easy to understand where he might think that, but super lazy though not to know that KPJ is not his son.

He should be fired simply for being lazy and not taking 2 seconds to look at KPJ's wiki page.

Trade deadline is a month from yesterday. I have to imagine we are looking to trade EG. He has been playing well so I would think there is a market for him.

Nah, that announcer is trash. He consistently throws out exclamations that are clearly meant to be Twitter fodder. He had an 'did he say 'N-word' or 'in-word' just now' moment the other week.

Green is 3-13. Very ealry but out of the early picks he is not looking good. Not giving up on him and he needs to bulk up

The team is showing progress. Hate to see them break it up just as they are starting to come together, but the round face mamba is at the top of his game, will be retired by the time we are a contender and deserves to play on one. IDK about a first rounder for him but apparently that is what Stone is demanding.

On another front, there is talk about Harden not being sold on Brooklyn long-term (shocking!). Really hoping that whole things blows up and they go into a rebuild, making our picks we got for him all of the sudden very valuable.

Love Mad Max, but let's not forget that he quit the team and bailed on the playoffs after a loss to Utah. All is forgiven after the end result, but not sure I'd be bragging about that 2nd ring after bailing on my guys like that.

Brooklyn falling out of favor with James (which is shocking because James is usually such a team player) could really accelerate the rebuild.

You mean you can't just throw a conspiracy theorist who won't get a flipping injection in order to be with his team, a spoiled out of shape party boy and a stick figure hitting his mid-30s who has missed a couple of seasons' worth of games with lower extremity injuries together and win a championship...no matter how talented they are?

What a surprise!

If these bums are seriously talking about bringing Westbrook back, I'm going to set fire to Toyota Center.

Wonder if Westbrook would be fine with the same deal as Wall, get paid to not play.

I'm assuming we would have to be well compensated to do this but they idea of watching Westbrick get meaningless triple-doubles on 3-22 shooting nights sounds horrible.

Don't Westbrook and Wall have similar contracts? What would be the difference? We likely wouldn't play either one. Actually, LA has their backs against the wall with an aging Lebron and a small window. If we could swap Westbrook and Wall and get anything of any value in addition, what's the downside for us?

Nothing if he actually doesn't play. I would imagine he would want to play giving how he seems to thrive statistically on bad teams. Who know though.

He doesn't have a no trade clause. He may want to play.....good for him. We'd have no reason or obligation to play him. If things aren't fixable in LA, they have a need for Wall, who we're choosing not to play anyways. If they are willing to give anything at all in exchange for taking Westbrook we'd be silly not to do it, IMO.

Would have enjoyed back to back wins vs Utah and GS, but in the long run it's better. Team can compete and gains confidence but doesn't hurt their lottery odds.

The clip doesn't show it but Russ actually dribbled the entire possession, didn't let a single teammate touch the ball, and then hucked up that horrendous shot.

I hope we can trade Wall for him. I feel like he is stupid enough to take a buyout if we say he will never play again.

Don't think that would be a good idea. He's a rookie learning the nba. Now is the time to get those types of games out of the way.

No. We are in a rebuild. Losing games is fine. Let him develop and get a better chance at a high draft pick.

Not completely bench him Move him to the bench, give him 25 minutes a night and make him earn more. It will help his development.

Green is struggling and playing worse than a few other players on the team that merit more minutes.

He can still get better coming off the bench. Christopher has gotten much better off the bench. It might help to play less minutes and be the main focus offensively, while not getting roasted on D by the opposing starters.

If we can get a future first rounder for him, then it's worth making the trade regardless. A guy not playing + a first rounder is better than just a guy not playing (for the same salary). By 2027 LeBronto is gone and that Lakers pick might actually be decent.

If Stone can convince Russ to take the buyout or somehow flip him to another team that would be icing on the cake.
