First ejection of his career. Dumb move by Wemby. Refs also can't let him get mugged like they do.
My issue is that Shannon was yanking on his arm/shoulder and he was throwing his elbow to get his momentum away from Shannon. That wasn't an elbow at Reid. Call the crap before and he doesn't feel like he has to protect his body from injury.
I get the ejection, but what about the guy draped over him holding him down?

Wemby was in the wrong there. That was a really bad elbow, no matter how you slice it. He has to man up, mature, and not lose his cool even when wronged.

Only hope was that they kept it a flagrant one because he was getting fouled also.
Good learning opportunity for Wemby though to not let his emotions get the better of him when teams beat up on him.

This is simply not true. You could see on Wemby's face that the elbow was being thrown with bad intentions.

Tim Duncan had the fewest fouls per 48 minutes of any post player even close to his caliber in the history of the league. Consider it a fair split.

Well, most players when they're being mauled, do that "protect the ball and swing the elbows" clear people off of them.

It is a flagrant 2, but I don't think Wemby had any intention to hit anyone in the neck or face with malice. That's the first ejection of his career. He has never played like that.
That's just frustration coming to a head. Wemby took a hit to the face and whacked the first player he saw. I agree he can't do that, but after watching both series so far, I get where he's coming from.
This could end up being a Game-2 like blowout. Without Wemby, Minnesota's bigs will have a field day.

Him and Castle have been getting mauled all series in a way that seems intentionally allowed by the refs. I can see why he got frustrated and lashed out even though he doesn't usually do that.
So why do the refs let Gobert act like a NFL pulling guard blocking downfield into Wemby for 10 yards and no one cares???

This isn't an attack at Mitch. But if he had any balls he'd put plumlee and Olynyk in and go head hunting. This winning politely while Wemby and Castle get assaulted every play is such BS.

That doesn't mean he had bad intentions or was throwing an elbow to intentionally hit someone. Moving your elbows like that is a normal basketball move to clear space, you just can't make the contact that he did.
