Man I forgot about the SGA kicking his legs into Harper as well.

Thought they were reviewing to see if they should rescind the foul call due to the leg kickout and then when the ref announced the review results, admitted they were looking to see if the foul should have been upgraded to a flagrant.

That kick into Harper wasn't the only foul on that play by SGA.

He's proving me wrong for sure on both ends. I honestly didn't see this from him. It helps when he's not relied on as a top 3 player. Being the 4th-5th option is perfect for him. He can be more consistent but he has shut me up for sure.

I'm going to send a message to the E-N guys to ask this, but I really want to know what coaching changes have led to the significant changes in the game of Devin and Keldon.

For Keldon, my assumption is that it is all Corliss Williamson, because Corliss was the big nasty scrapper flying in for offensive boards, doing the little things like that. I think I read this week that Keldon is 2nd in the NBA for FG% for non-centers after Giannis.

But for Devin.. is this a Sean Sweeney thing? His perimeter defense is so much better, focused, and effective.

The only knocks on Devin right now are finishing in the paint/at the rim and consistency, but consistency will generally be a thing for most shooters (like Barnes last night.)

Last 11 games dating back to the Hawks game in late November, Devin is putting up 19/4/2.5 on 46/48/94 shooting and he couldn't hit anything against NO or LA. He also only has 10 turnovers in those 11 games, but has 18 stocks.

I was probably higher than Devin as a useful 4th option than most, but he is outplaying what I thought he was by a long shot.

Yep. It is good to see him and Keldon be solid contributors.
Keldon didn't have a great game last night but it is definitely happening less often than in the past.
I don't think Devin has ever played defense this well in the league.

This is what was so annoying when they replayed it and Van Gundy was like 'yeah, not a foul, should have been a turnover'.

Caruso had his arm wrapped around Vassell, foul all day (well, except it usually doesn't get called against the OKCRefs).

I think the Social Media outrage is what can really put pressure on the NBA.

I don't know if yall remember the 1st round series between the Mavs and Rockets back in 2005. Mavs down 2-1 and absolutely have to win game 4 to even it up and not go down 3-1.

Mark Cuban gets his guys to make a tape of all of Yao Ming's moving screens. Guess what happened? The refs reviewed it and put out a notice to the crew to watch for the moving screens by Yao. Yao got in early foul trouble with the moving screens and played like 25 minutes total and the Mavs pulled out the win and eventually won in 7.

Kind of the same thing needs to happen here, the fans and players need to put pressure on the NBA refs to stop allowing OKC to get away with physicality that no other teams can get away with, while also falling for foul baiting.

THIS was reviewed to see if it was a flagrant on Harper. When they reviewed it, they should have been able to:
1. call the push off on SGA
2. call the OTHER push off by SGA
3. call the flop by SGA - technical foul

In slow motion, it was all blatantly obvious. But instead SGA gets FTs when it should have been a turnover and technical.

He also raked Devin's left arm and pulled it towards him on the follow thru preventing Devin from having the ability to bring the ball in. The fact JVG said no foul was absurd.

So funny seeing the tunnel cam stuff and the OKC players *****ing. Y'all are so entitled and so used to getting away with the bull**** on D, that when the refs don't bail you out, you melt like a bunch of little *****es.

Love it. Let's get one of those two games next week against them and let them melt some more.

Though I'm sure Silver will send his best Thunderrefs for the Christmas day game to put Shai at the line 40 times.

What we do have going for us is the fans in general across the league already hate SGA (reddit's name for him is FTA), Dort, and a lot of them.

We do have kind of a David vs Goliath thing going for us and Wemby is pretty much universally loved.

Scrolling through X, it seems like EVERYONE loves Wemby's "ethical basketball" statement.

And it is a lot of non-Spurs fans calling out the OKC trash offensive fouls and flops.

Would love to see the league actually try to do the right thing here. Fans overwhelmingly hate these types of foul baiting and flopping.

Spurs have done a pretty good job of defending without fouling against LA and OKC and they are the teams that usually benefit the most.

I'm not going to go through and track the numbers to fact check, but according to this guy, in the 21 minutes that Wemby was in the game, the Thunder only challenged him at the rim 3 times




For a team that feats on SGA, JDub, and Mitchell drives, that's an awful lot of avoiding the rim. He said that OKC just changed into a middie team when Wemby was in because they were too afraid to go at him.

Happy NBA Trade Season Day! Today is the day that restrictions fall off all the newly signed FAs and they can be traded. I know I might be the only one that cares.

Marc Stein reported what we all expected: Spurs aren't looking to make any moves, especially in regards to Giannis.



The only exception is if something ridiculous falls in our lap by facilitating another trade, we may jump on that - similar to getting Barnes + Kings Swap for nothing.

Olynyk+Sochan have ending salaries totaling up to 20.5M and they could be traded for a player making up to 29M - so a guy like Wiggins falls into that range if Miami is making a deal with Milwaukee and Milwaukee wants to clear cap space.
