In other news, AJ Reed hit .306 with the Tri-City ValleyCats with 5 home runs in 124 ABs. His SLG% was a healthy .516. I really hope this guy pans out...he's got incredible power.

He's up with Quad-Cities and is hitting .200 through 4 games (already has 2 home runs). His OPS is .961...

meh. I wouldn't call anyone in this trade a gem. The biggest compliment I keep seeing from Moran is that he was a high pick from last year. Which makes me wonder why Miami was already willing to give him up.

This makes sense. He has to be added to the 40 man after the year anyway. We need bullpen help. Bring him up, let him get some big league experience while also limiting his innings, and we don't have to watch some scrub that has no part in the club's future plans pitch for us the rest of the year.

How in the world did they get the idea to raise ticket prices? Nobody cares about the Astros. They will very likely lose 100 games for the fourth year in a row. They still aren't on TV. They failed to sign their top pick in the draft.

I guess they need money to sign more over the hill veterans like Feldman?
