Im rooting for baseball in November in New York/Boston...Texas should be perfect
i don't understand this argument. why is a short season 'not worth it' or a 'farce' ? please help me understandWicked Good Ag said:
A 40-50 game season isn't worth it. Move on to 2021

Because a MLB season should be more than a college baseball season. History, if this season is played, will look at this as something of an outlier. No fans likely in the stands. Everything will be statistically skewed for short term rather than long term. I love baseball but I dont see it happening with everything going on
This I 100% agree with. MLB is not the most watchable baseball. The best baseball on TV at least is college baseball. During the year FSSW puts a Frisco game on every weekend and I always record and watch it too. Soem of the KBO league has been good as well.Wicked Good Ag said:
We have the Collegiate League in Texas starting up, maybe that will get some TV viewership at least locally if not fans in the stands
While I loved the MLB game I would much rather watch a game live at the minor league level for various reasons This season hurts worse because the 5-10 games i go to in MiLB each summer while in Texas or on a road trip are the things I will miss the most

Don't get me wrong, I love MLB, but I would rather go to Round Rock or College Station.

Which will end up being 0 dollars if they keep up these shenanigans, both sides.

I'll have a lot of respect for the union if they vote in favor of this. And they very well may - keep in mind the average MLB of $5 MM will thus be $1.85 MM this season. That sounds like a lot to us until you realize much more than half make less and the average career length is 5 years. You never get that year back.

Exactly. I'd love to see the faces on the players' faces once they're told that because they pushed to the point of having no season at all that they aren't being paid anything at all.

F these clowns. That is ridiculous. They are tanking a potential deal over 10 games that they aren't realistically going to have time to play anyway. If I'm the owners, I set a 48 game season date and let them file their grievance which the players will lose.
