BP's projections have the Rangers as being the second-best team in the American League with an average of 89.3 wins. That is a little behind the New York Yankees, who averaged 89.7 wins in the BP simulations, and a hair ahead of the Baltimore Orioles, who are at 89.2 wins. Texas is also favored to win the A.L. West in the PECOTA projections, taking the division title in 46.5% of simulations, as well as making the playoffs 75.3% of the time.
The projections have the Yankees, Rangers and Orioles in a pretty distinct tier, being within a half-win of each other. Seems like the big name free agents have mostly signed. In years past, we had quite a few holdouts but maybe some recent bombs have spooked guys.
Bregman is the only big name hold out I can think of.
JD Martinez and Mark Canha are still out there.
Hean Dog still out there along with Clayton Kershaw. No one's signed David Robertson either.

We're about $6M under the CBT. There was a mention last week about a couple teams still looking for a CF. The next day, Taveras ($4.7M +2yrs more control) as a possible player on the move was mentioned.
If our OF is healthy... we could move Taveras for a pretty good haul of prospects.
One or more of our RPs are going to suck. We just don't know which ones, yet.
I think we have the depth to overcome injuries, but without knowing where they come, I think it is worth waiting.

Agree...there's no need to make a move just yet, the roster is pretty solid. We need to get to ST and find out who is healthy and what we really need, as opposed to just want, because we're in somewhat of a payroll crunch. It would be just our luck to go out and get some expensive player, only to have somebody like Seager or Semien or Adolis go down to injury for a long period, and not have the flexibility to go fill that gap.

The only hole I wish they would address is closer. I like the rest of the bullpen. Maybe Chris Martin can do it. If Kenley or Robertson fits in the budget, great.
