I'd argue that Verlander should be on that list in addition to Jose Cruz. Others to consider would be Joe Niekro, Mike Scott, and Larry Dierker. Does Bregman break into the top 15?
Well it really depends on how you're defining top 10 - Raw talent? Career contributions? IDK if there is an easier answer.

Breggy played here almost a decade, was a very key part of our only 2 championships. He's in the top 10 in my opinion. I think Altuve is a clear #1 and Breggy is somewhere around 8-10.
We did Mount Rushmore last offseason. Here are the results. Note - the rules for the exercise said at least 1 pitcher. People submitted their A and B Mount Rushmore.

Yeah and nothing Bregman did this past season moves him up those rankings besides the Dodger walk off that didn't mean much in the grand scheme of things

You guys may be right about Bregman, but I guess there's recency bias involved here for me.
Dude got a good offer, he and his agent shined on it and then you immediately start thinking about what you're missing out on and the only thing that cycles through my mind for the past 12 months are a s*** ton of infield pop-ups in crucial situations and GIDP. Bregman had that one hot stretch that I can recall this past season, but was largely garbage and is on wrong side of 30.
He isn't worth what we offered at this point and certainly won't be worth what he eventually gets.
Also, strictly from an analytics standpoint....the offensive contribution from the corner infield this coming season should be significantly improved assuming a drop from Bregman to Paredes, but a massive jump by inputting Walker at 1st.

Probably not many people my age here so most never saw him. Larry Dierker definitely belongs. In the majors at 17, played on some horrendous teams but won 137 games, pitched a no hitter, first 20 game winner, great broadcaster and Astros manager. He was absolutely a horse.

The guy who is missing from the list who an old scout I grew-up learning from would talk about was J.R. Richard...insisted that Richard would be mentioned among the greats in the game had the stroke not ended his career very prematurely.
