This is it guys! So many times throughout the season many have counted this team out. Somehow this team has found a way to hang around. Tonight is truly a must win. Win it, and we come at least some hope alive. If we lose tonight, I think its pretty safe to say the season is over.

This is deGrom's last outing of the year unless we come back.

I find it hard to believe this happens, but the reality is, 3 years in, and his most memorable moment as a Ranger is his emotional reaction to getting hurt.

Plenty of teams would take him. He has a 0.93 WHIP and 3.01 ERA on the season (stats I am looking at, think they updated including tonight).
He may be wearing down at the end of the season, but he'll be better and stronger in 2026. IMO of course.
But how many will take on that rest of the contract? And what do you get in return? Dude drives me insane but Cy would have to find another starter. I don't see it happening. This is also likely his final start.

I asked my wife the same thing (in a way), but we've gotten a VW commercial every single commercial break. No clue why. Haven't seen a single brisket commercial., though.
