Gotta have Jung come in and provide a spark tonight, feels like we have to win tonight to avoid the sweep. The bats have to get thawed out (asking them to even come to room temp feels like a lot outside of Smith, Higgy, and Heim) in Seattle before both LA teams come to town next week.

We have a chance to really build a lead in the division in the next two weeks and hold on to it all season like we did in 2023.

I'm not liking tonight's pitching match up and fear a sweep in this series if our bats don't heat up. We've kind of lived and died by the longball this season and if that gets taken away, we struggle to generate runs.

Also, need to stop the bleeding on the base paths.

Help me understand this cold weather nonsense. Everybody in the MLB just got back from Arizona and Florida. Nobody is accustomed to playing in cold weather. We should win tonight. Jameson Taillon is nothing special.

Bradford to 60. He is starting to throw. Won't throw off a mound for 4 more weeks and then a build-up like ST.

Garabito optioned.

Boushley called from AAA, takes Bradford's spot on the 40. Takes Garbito's spot on the Active.

Gives the Rangers a long guy.

Why are we so aggressive at the plate, so early in the game? Don't we want to see some pitches and make these guys work, at least a little? Our first two batters saw 4 pitches.

A 9 pitch inning. We let Steele hang around too long last night.

Biggest issue with this team right now. You don't want to just take pitches to take pitches of simply look for long at bats, but the five pitch and two out scenarios has to stop.

Agreed. I've been watching this for a week or so now and it has been frustrating, to say the least.

I agree with not watching.pitches just to watch them but we don't seem to have a game plan at the plate. Let's settle down and make Cubs pitchers work a little.
