GM speak. They aren't going to say no in a case like this and damage relationships with agents.

They also still have a qualifying offer out there, so on the off chance he takes it, they don't want to have been telling people they don't want him. With his fragile ego, he would hold a grudge and start throwing at the owner's box.
Aroldis Chapman was not approved to pitch for Great Britain in the World Baseball Classic because his lineage-based documentation did not prove eligibility, per @ChrisCotillo

The dead space after the super Bowl before the first real spring training games are the worst.
When the super bowl was earlier in the year, there used to be a time where there was nothing but hockey because that one weekend would also be the nba all-star game
You need some Buckyball in your life.
Ive gotten way back into disc golf, which I learned to play at Research Park in 1996. Me and 2 of my old man buddies got on the app UDisc back in October. I've played 55 rounds since and waked 113 miles doing it. Lots of fun with low expectations among friends.

I'd be ok signing Framber to a short term deal if the Astros can get him on the cheap.

He already declined it. The deadline was back at the start of the offseason.

They have not gained the QO pick yet - that only happens when another team signs him.
But it is correct that the Astros would lose the opportunity to gain a comp pick if they bring him back in any capacity.

good on Yainer's agent for pleading his case well to the arbiter, Texags would not have been so willing, I thinkSource: #Astros C Yainer Diaz won his arbitration hearing, and will earn $4.5 million in 2026. pic.twitter.com/g7FghNDLzC

$225k per walk should be good motivation to work on his eye a little in the offseason

Texags knows pretty much nothing when it comes to these hearings.
