Volume matters. In the last 5 seasons we've had a total of 7 picks in the top 2 rounds at an average spot of 44th. Of those 7, only 5 were position players.

We'll find out very soon with guys like Loperfido, Cole, Wagner, Melton, Dezenzo, Gilbert, Clifford, and Matthews. I think 1-2 will stick as avg to above avg big leaguers.

Year 2 after the elbow surgery is usually when you see the pitcher back near 100%. It just sucks we screwed around in 22 & 23 with endless rehab when he needed surgery.

They tried to avoid the flexor tendon surgery from the injury he had in 21. They found the bone spur while in there, I believe.

Can anybody make sense of what we've done this year outside of Pitching?

We let Caratini walk, who could play multiple positions and was a left handed bat and replaced him with Vazquez/Salazar to save $5,000,000?

We got rid of Dubon, and signed a guy who is like Dubon but not as versatile nor as good a fielder.

We got rid of Sanchez, who was a proven let handed bat (yes he had a bad small sample last year) and got Loperfido?

Are we going to find someone with the extra $17,000,000 or so that contributes as much as the delta between Dubon/Caratini/Sanchez replacement?

ETA he cost himself $15MM plus any playoff money or bonuses this year. Last year he lost half his salary. So it was $6Mm lost plus bonuses and playoff money.

Last year, we played Astros Bingo. Most of us lost. We lost prop bets. We lost predictions. We lost Joey Gallo from the Major Leagues. Today, you have a chance to take it all back. You know your team, you know the division. Make your picks, send them to me. One ballot each. Lots of mistakes, no do-overs. Most of us are going to make some terrible guesses, that doesn't mean we can't win the overall title. Pick wisely. Mock other people's picks openly. This is the fight of our lives, at least as far as online baseball bingo goes. And one of you is going to win. Whatever it takes. Good luck.

OK, kids here's the rules:
You make your picks from the more than 100 squares below.

Your first square is free, Rangers Suck:

You need to fill in 14 other picks. There is a "blank ballot' at the bottom of my post you can copy/paste to help you make sure you get the right amount.

The "<>" sign on a lot of categories means you can either pick less than that number or more than that number. If the category hits the number exactly, it counts for the > square.
