I think MLB players are probably coached by their agents at the very least to use a translator so they don't misspeak and say something that gets them in hot water or maybe is something that is frowned upon in the US that is cool in their home nation.

Sorry, but I don't buy this excuse. Seems like a coverup. Chandler saying he looked uncomfortable running makes me think he's hurt again.

The Astros medical staff has done enough over the years to not get the benefit of the doubt.

According to Statcast, he only had 106 competitive runs last season. That comes to about 1 a game, and this includes playing defense.

edit: for some context, guys who put the ball in play a ton and run around in the OF could have upper 200s and even 300 competitive runs in a season.

I'd like him to get that many but I just don't think his hammy survives.

Especially at positions like 2B and 1B where he needs some range and stretching is essential.

hopefully things will start to turn around with the recent class and this year, but have the Astros drafted and developed a single above average amateur hitter since Pena (2018)?
