Happy for Bracamonte as well! Living the dream as a bullpen catcher.
Happy for the Venezuelans in general. Freedom and a World Championship in a few months time is the start of a pretty good year.

The same way we respect Skenes for almost joining the military, we have to respect Judge for almost making contact tonight

His spring so far through 14 games:
38 PA | .355 AVG | .474 OBP | .958 OPS | 11 H | 5 RBI | 1 HR | 7 BB | 6 K pic.twitter.com/e73c0BQWNf
I'm hoping everyone gets annoyed with this meme because I want to post it every time he does something great.
Sounds like a bingo square? Over/under on how many Loperfido memes get posted by CK….

Been quite a run for Omar López, who led Santurce to the Puerto Rican Winter League title and Venezuela to the WBC title. He'll be back with the Astros tomorrow.

"Be nice to have a triple crown for him this year," manager Joe Espada said.
Zach Dezenzo’s right elbow flared up during the WBC. He can DH but will not throw for the next few days, Joe Espada said. Dezenzo said he had an MRI that showed everything “fully intact” structurally.

Clarification: Peña has resumed throwing. He will start swinging again this weekend. https://t.co/gFzpQd5Jsr

I think MLB players are probably coached by their agents at the very least to use a translator so they don't misspeak and say something that gets them in hot water or maybe is something that is frowned upon in the US that is cool in their home nation.

This is correct - and sometimes it's an organizational thing.
A lot of the guys (especially Yordan) are actually surprisingly fluent in English.
Isaac Paredes is out of this game after two innings. Every Astros starter remains in the game. Paredes didn't look comfortable legging out a double earlier. The conditions today are also abysmal. Will update when there is more information

The Astros are pulling starters from today's game early due to playing conditions, per a team spokesperson. (It's been raining intermittently). Isaac Paredes was removed before the bottom of the third and Carlos Correa for a pinch-runner in the top of the fourth.

Sorry, but I don't buy this excuse. Seems like a coverup. Chandler saying he looked uncomfortable running makes me think he's hurt again.
The Astros medical staff has done enough over the years to not get the benefit of the doubt.
