I imagine several of you have been to a Royals game at Kauffman Stadium. We are going in June to see a World Cup match and going to squeeze in a Royals game against the Cardinals.

I've sat in the nosebleeds behind home plate a few times and still had great views. I think sections 415 and 420. If I remember correctly if you go high enough you will be under an overhang, which is great in June...

Anywhere along the lines is great, but we didn't sit much (lol). The 3rd baseline will be in the shade quicker, as I recall. We really enjoyed walking around the outfield area and watching the game from that perspective.

Beautiful stadium once inside- weird and dated spaceship-from-the-60s aesthetic on the outside.

I think it's possible both of them make the roster. But Cole will have more of an impact.

If Brice makes a lot of impact it means somebody got hurt on the infield. Cole could simply just win a starting spot over other guys in the outfield

If Pena opens on the IL, Brice would add some IF/OF flexibility.

I saw Aggie legend Jeff Granger pitch there in 1996. He came in to pitch the top of the sixth, walked the leadoff guy, and they took him out. His ERA at the time was 8.59. Was on my baseball roadtrip across America at the time. Attendance was 14,000. Bought a seat off a scalper in the 5th row behind home plate, 2 rows behind KC Monarchs legend and Royals scout Buck O'Neil (RIP)

A few draft notes before real progress ball starts. BA mocks us to take Tyler Spangler at 17. I'd love that pick. He's somewhat similar to Neyens last year as a big lefty hitting SS but with a better chance to stick at SS. Extremely high upside.

I've also listened to several of their podcasts and the consensus is this is a very deep draft. It's a great year to pick a little earlier and have two extra picks.
