Maybe because once they fire him the team will still stink and the fans will realize the problem goes much deeper than Espada?

Was really looking forward to going to Chicago during Memorial Day weekend to see the Astros at Wrigley.
Just looked at the weather. Rain and more rain. Sounds about right for this season.
Hopefully that changes.

2 weeks out, I bet it'll change a bit
When I was there for the notre dame game it said rain during the game and it was clear as can be from 3 PM on
You'll have a blast at Wrigley!

Haha. Yeah, my girlfriend is from Chicago originally and she said you can't rely on forecasts up there this far out. I still got a chuckle when I looked this morning.
I'm pumped. Bucket list ballpark for sure.

Astros Bingo Update 5-11-2026
With Astros Bingo becoming not as fun as last year in many regards, I've decided to add a new wrinkle for the next 2-1/2 months highlighting one of our 74 contestants each day for a check-in on how their Bingo card is going and their potential total.
I call it: Better Know a Poster (credit, The Colbert Report circa mid-to-late-2000s)
As often as I have time for it, we'll highlight one of our fantastic board members with Google Gemini's artist rendition of them based on their user name and a checkup on their Bingo card. And away we go!
Day 1 spotlight: 07ag
Current Bingo Score: 2
Place: Tied for 3rd with like 20 other people
Squares Achieved: Rangers suck and 6+ losing streak
Square Fails: Win Opening Day - remember how young and naive we were back then?
Predicted Astros record: 91-71. Just need to finish the year 75-46.
Squares that look like future wins:
Judge >50 HR (pace is 63)
Bregman <80 RBI (pace is 51)
Walker >22 HR (pace is 36)
Yordan >25 HR (pace is 51)
Squares that are technically still humanly possible:
Astros win 90-94 games
Astros win 6 straight games
Framber > 13 wins
Imai < 3.50 ERA
Squares that haven't aged so well:
Pena All-Star Game
Hunter >14 W
Hunter All-Star Game
Verlander >8W (currently on pace for 0)

Ballparks I've been to:
Astrodome
MMP
Both of the Rangers ballparks
Kansas City
Arizona
Colorado
San Diego
Anaheim
Baltimore
Washington
Atlanta
Cleveland
St Louis
Ballparks near the top of my list to see next excluding Wrigley: Fenway, Yankee Stadium, San Francisco, Pittsburgh
Planning to knock them all out eventually. Luckily she's a big baseball fan and wants to see them all too.

Will be in San Francisco in July and plan to catch a game. Any particular sections you'd recommend sitting in? Ideally something with a good view.

At one point when I used to travel to all the ballparks, I was down to just four remaining to see:
New York (Mets)
Philadelphia
Washington
Cincinnati
Now with some new stadiums replacing the old ones, my list is getting repopulated:
NY Yankees (went to old Yankee Stadium)
Miami (went to previous stadium)
Minnesota (went to Metrodome)
Atlanta (went to previous Turner Field)
Arlington (went to previous stadium)
Several of you are listing San Francisco and Pittsburgh on your bucket lists: I can verify that boyh are among the best ballparks in baseball. You will enjoy!
The Tampa Bay Rays are 26-13, the best record in the AL.

Their payroll ranks bottom 3 in MLB at $87 million. Their highest-paid player is Yandy Díaz ($12M).
Every year they find a way to compete with teams spending 3x as much. One of the most impressive organizations in sports. pic.twitter.com/vqtSHqfscs
