5-5 or 6-4 should be the hope

If there was ever a time to turn it on and say "we're not selling" you have to take 2/3 and 3/4 from Minneosta and Texas respectively, and in the same sentence can't get swept by the Cubs.
6-4 or 7-3 has to be the goal..5-5 or less and you start talking to buyers.
Pena is apparently going to play in 2 of the 3 in Minnesota so that is a start.

Sources: 19-year-old prospect Raydel Sanchez left Cuba in recent hours.

Sanchez was a member of Cuba’s U23 national team in 2025 and has 60–70 power on the 80 scouting scale according to some scouts.

YAAAAASSSSS! Incredibly Gen X of me I know but Hulk was absolutely my favorite as a kid and I'm about 98% sure that's not something I've ever posted on TA.

I'm just thinking realistically
3-3 against Minnesota and Chicago
2-2 against Texas
Then you maybe put together a few home series wins against milwaukee, pirates and A's (5-4 or 6-3 homestand)
To me that's at least keeping you in striking distance when reinforcements arrive (Hader, Brown, Pearson, Loperfido)
No intel, just speculation. If Dana Brown is still here at the trade deadline, watch out for Peña to the Braves as a hot rumor. It wouldn’t shock me to hear the Astros linked to JR Ritchie - taken Dana’s last draft in ATL. Braves need a SS, Astros could demand a huge haul. pic.twitter.com/NpksxFFokI

The Astros are promoting catching prospect Jason Schiavone to Double-A Corpus Christi. Schiavone, 23, slashed .289/.452/.766 in 168 plate appearances at High-A. His 17 home runs lead all of minor league baseball.

I know Crane has wanted high ceiling/low floor prospects but I never thought his ceiling was very high.

What am I missing. Shouldn't every GM be looking for guys with high ceilings? That's not exactly an unusual strategy.
Yes Asheville is a hitter's park whereas CC is more neutral. The Atlantic League overall isn't necessarily a big hitter's league. Basically 3 parks are big hitters parks and everything else is neutral or pitcher friendly.linkdude said:
probably also trying to get better evals on his in-game power. Asheville plays in an offensive league it seems, while CC suppresses power in the home ballpark.
it'll be interesting to watch his OPS and see how it tracks (also facing more polished prospects, etc.)
