I just don't understand the value supporting even current price here, I guess I need to research. Just seems like a software add-on tv manufacturers probably pay a small royalty for, it's not like they force users to their proprietary "channel" to buy media/content from them with services like Amazon, Apple TV, etc readily available to buy/rent movies and television.

For all my averaging down, I've only managed to bring my cost basis down to $215 per share.

I'm hopeful it can hit that this year but I'm thinking it'll be a while at this point.

Still hoping for a nice bump once the Winter Olympics start.

roku will bounce and bounce pretty soon. It is so beaten down. Just don't panic sell, that's what the mm's want you to do.

Hell of a swing today. Day range from $139.47 to $156.66 and still climbing...

Roku and Netflix turning around this morning.

Bought ROKU this morning and it's up 7%. This is easy!

Holding pretty strong today among the dip.

I think we hit $200 this week.

I really don't understand what information in the reports of Netflix and Roku triggers these wild sell offs. Beat on lots of estimates yet huge sell off? Still showing revenue, profit, and streaming hour growth. Is it just computers pre-programmed to sell?

I'm going to have to start hedging earnings dates with puts, these swings are insane. 30% drop in 24 hours? Is Roku really 30% less valuable?

Why did the market explode up after the FED announcement of future rate hikes late last year?

The market is comprised of sentiment. And sentiment is going to go where it's going to go. News will merely be a launchpad or catalyst for sentiment to do what it already wanted to do.

ROKU has gone through an entire cycle in its young life. Sentiment has decided that it needs a major reset. It's that simple.

Any ideas where the bottom here it i.e. are we going back to $60?

I don't think anyone knows when the bottom is. If you feel like this is a good long term price based on financials then buy a bit here maybe. If you think it might continue down, especially if we get a big correction, maybe wait to enter the second tranche of shares after it's confirmed a reversal upwards or until after the macro markets stabilize a bit?

I'm personally getting back into ROKU again soon. I'm likely going shares only, unless Jan2024 LEAPs just look really, really good to me.
