We could try not making coaches responsible for building a fan base personally like Blair did…how about if we market men's and women's sports equally well and hold the AD accountable for game day environment including attendance? We like blaming students so why not aim that at the adults instead…TXAGBQ76 said:

It also just dawned on me that KBW and her are very good friends. I wonder if that means KBW is staying.

What young Black recruit from the state of texas would want to play for elderly Vic over this woman? Or even the best White girls would appreciate a relatively-young female coach with great experience.
Recruiting has been our biggest problem, while Vic has been recruiting great. If she can recruit, is likable to her players, and also a tactician, then she could certainly be a huge hire for us.
I meant to say better potential for a bigger fan base. With the excitement of a new era, maybe Aggies can show more supportTXAGBQ76 said:

They are the ones who made a career out of being a college basketball coach. Being uprooted and moving happens all the time. It comes with the territory.Rudybryan said:Don't know but they speak the truth.......so loyal people who have spent years in our community have to uproot their families because there is no loyality.......aggiedrjdub said:Yes and Although Joni is outstanding i think it just sends a clear message to up and coming assistants who stay true to their head coaches…don’t cause no one is looking out for you. Once that coach is done they dont care if he’s a HOF coach who recommends his loyal staff.

Hate to get pulled into the race debate but if you don't think some recruits who are black wouldn't be excited to play for a young black female coach, you are trying way to hard to avoid race as a factor. It doesn't have to be racist to be true.Aggie said:Aggie1188 said:

This is the stupidest effing argument I've ever heard
So you're suggesting that a young black prospect will go play for her because she is black? So I guess we're assuming all the young black girls she recruits and their families are racist?? Because in your opinion they will choose to play for her over an older white man in Vic Schaffer.. simply because he is white and she is black.
That's what you just said
Athletes , black and white male and female want to go where they can win. If she wins she will recruit well if she doesn't she won't.. end of discussion.
This " she will be able to recruit because she is black " BS is ridiculous
Okay - did she originally sign with Georgia? Seems like I remember something like that or about that???Kbeauty63 said:NO! She was here her 4 years (foregoing the COVID extra year to go to the WNBA draft)aggiedrjdub said:
