Corpus already had one game in which they won 100-30. It was against College of Biblical Studies, which is most famous for the it's national record for the biggest margin of loss in Division I women's basketball at 141 points.
Corpus did make 15 threes in that game. And they did win IN College Station last year. But they have a new coaching staff and only one returning starter.

Yeah that Biblical Studies has 1 player over 6 feet tall and competes in the NCCAA (Christian colleges only) TAMUCC's one returning starter averaged 2 points last year and didn't play Monday. They have about 3 girls on the roster who have ever played meaningful minutes in division 1 basketball. We have to win by 30-40+ points…
Last year in this game we had 20 turnovers and shot 27% including 3 of 25 from three…

I'm willing to come in bright eyed and bushy tailed, but if we lose a game like this through out the year, she better be on the short list to get fired
I'm trying my best to believe and tonight won't really give us much of an indication due to an awful opponent, but I really want to see us take care of the ball and make better decisions offensively. I hope a new backcourt can also get the ball down low much better and that we have a little more discipline on defense the entire shot clock. Effot and body language will also be something to keep an eye on.

We only have 4 cupcake games. For some reason our non conference consists of only 9 games, 3 versus A&M branch schools, a Hawaii tourney with VCU, UTA, and Colorado, an SEC/ACC Challenge with Georgia Tech, then West Virginia, then a top 25 matchup with Kansas State. Most schools play 14 or 15 non conference games. If we don't go 5-4 or 6-3...
I'm also really curious how our starting 5 will look and who is coming off the bench first. So many unknowns... good thing we have two easy games to open up
