can any of you more tenured whiskey people explain pricing to me on this? is the mini just being a loss leader/convenience grab?

this would make it $30 a bottle at the 50ml prices. This is total wine pricing but spec's is basically the same.

I've been enjoying working through the various Still Austin ryes out there and I drink a lot of manhattans but this seems strange pricing.

Not photoshopped. But I am now seeing that the snippet tool from my computer made the bottle look pretty fuzzy lol. I've hit 3 out of 4 last lottos from TW somehow, only one I missed out on was of course Pappy/BTAC lotto

KoK is superior to those, imo. What a score!!!

Haha that was why I had my suspicion but then I looked at mine on the TW website and see the fuzzy image is on their end.

I'm at 14k, I've been Black level for a couple years or so. He looked up my points over the last year, I don't recall the number, and said that's what would really help me. This was just prior to them changing the points system. He was just logging me into the points system for the first time when we had this discussion.

Interesting. Appreciate it. I'm about 19K. Sounds like I need to talk to some folks at the stores I go to and hope for the best.

Agreed on ETL being underrated.

$70 for 90p, thats kinda steep. And I don't like it and have several bottles of it. RHF on the other hand I'd buy for $70.

Underrated compared to the rest of the core BT lineup. It doesn't get near the run that EHT, Blanton's, ER or whatever get and id gladly drink it over 2 of the 3. Hell when i would go to drops when i was still in VA people were habitually grabbing regular BT over that.

I guess that is because people seem to really like it or hate it. not to many its fine opinions.

You see ETL regular for 150-170 secondary.

$70 retail is real nice, Clark.

Plenty of people have down talked it for years on here. Case in point, Alaska's post.

Not to judge anyone's personal preferences but lots of "proof hound" types that prefer higher proof pours to something like ETL. Nothing wrong either way. Everyone likes to drink different stuff. We can all enjoy whatever we want

I was so pumped to get my first ETL and then was pretty disappointed. It's just too overhyped. It's decent for what it is. Low proof non-age stated bourbon. Decent bottle at around $40-50 but nowhere near worth secondary

Congrats, that was one of the two I was hoping to get. I ended up with a Blanton's SFTB.

I had ETL as number 6 or 7 on my list

Have been Grand Reserve since Christmas and have struck out twice. Seems to be the norm.

Random question for the board...a family member is going over to Dublin Ireland and wanted to know any good liquor stores that might have some good bourbons to bring back.

Recommendations for which Jack Daniel's Tour? Making a trip with my better half to Nashville mid-May, and this is on the list.
