Last comment - we are efforting to do a steel cage death match with 2000 Latour, 2000 Lafite, and 2001 or 2002 Harlan. Will let u know if we pull it together.

I wouldn't characterize Jadot as hit or miss. IMO, that's just how burgundy is. I'm amazed at the amount of variation there can be in wines that are made from the same varietal in the same general area. That and the way they evolve over time in bottle makes it really fun if you like to try new things, because it's unlikely you'll ever have the same wine experience twice.
