Just picked this up today, very very good.
Bought some of this since Gunslinger isn't available in Georgetown. Not all that impressed really. Had higher hopes but it's just "meh" to me.JYDog90 said:

Been finding it at the krogers around DFW. Stuff will kick you in the teeth if you aren't used to the heat. Burned a few friends who loved the taste but had to stop.
Bought this yesterday in Victoria at Spec's and this salsa is definitely in my top 3 of favorite store bought brands.tx4guns said:
Gunslinger Salsa. It's in Spec's. It's my brand, so if you haven't tried it, give it a shot and support an Aggie owned company. Medium hot, fire roasted goodness. It pretty much beats every salsa on the shelf, especially if you like a little smoke. I'm doing a demo tomorrow at the College Station Spec's from 1-4PM if anyone wants to swing by and try it.

Stocking up the Spec's warehouse with Gunslinger this week. If your store is out, they'll have it back in stock within 2 weeks.

If you don't dip a chip or something in it to contaminate it, probably a month or 2 at least. It has a pretty low pH, so it lasts a long time.
I like the hotter one but would 100% agree. Good flavorGarrelli 5000 said:
I'll give the Gunslinger a shot.
That said my go-to for a few years now is Kylito's.
The habanero one of these is the tits.555-PINF said:jah003 said:
This is it. The fire roasted isn't as hot as the green. The habanero is my favorite but it's pretty damn spicy.
This is the correct answer. If I can't find this, HEB's Mi Tienda Salsa Chili De Arbol works.
Mom, is that you? (That's exactly what my mom did with these growing up)jwag said:
I get a mild and a hot and mix them together for a more medium spice.
Are yall only in HEB? Wife decided she wanted tacos while we were at Kroger and figured I'd give it a try and didn't see it. Gonna check my local HEB next time I go.tx4guns said:
We use vinegar, not lime. And yes, it's strong Chipotle and pretty low on the pH scale. If you're not a fan of the smokey flavor it's probably not for you. But, I do appreciate you giving it a try.
Guess I'll check out specs! Love smokiness, chipotle, and acid so needa give it a try.tx4guns said:
No, only big chains we're in are Spec's and United Market Street.
I was just coming to this thread to post a Casa Martinez entry that I tried out. I did this one and it was great, especially heated, but will definitely get the Diabla next time to try.halibut sinclair said:
