,,,this season is an abject failure. lose two out of three to the sips and choke away both the close ones. and this season projects to be a high point with a major rebuilding on the horizon. i couldn't care less whether buzz goes to indiana or not unless they put up a spectacular run in the tourney.

The play called with 7 seconds on the shot clock with a 4 point lead in OT has to be one of the dumbest play calls I have seen.
I'll be surprised if we make it to the sweet 16. Early in the year we were playing well and thought we'd make it. Not so much, right now
Parade downtown for Sweet 16 appearance in year 6 though.

i'm a very casual basketball fan (far behind football and baseball for me) but has indiana fallen so far they would actually want buzz? (and just avoiding abject failure is not equivalent to a downtown parade... or maybe that is the current standard for aggie athletics.)

This is insane. I love when people decide to watch one game and forget the entire season. Didn't we just beat number 1 in the nation a week ago? When's the last time we did that?
So if we don't make the Sweet 16, which would tie, what, 4 other Aggie teams in program history as the farthest we've EVER made it in the dance, the entire season is an "abject failure?"

We got beat by a team that threw a bunch of players together to start the season. We have 3 or 4 year guys in the system and got whipped. Coach needs to go. we can do better.
Buzz is getting out recruited, not outcoached. Find a real athletic director who can build an elite NIL collective and the rest will take care of itself.

Once again its how you are losing. Your 4 year forward leaves a guy unguarded under the basket for an easy layup in a tough hard fought game. You throw an ally hoop to a guarded guy with 7 seconds on the shot clock. The list goes on on and on.

I wish the "fans" posting weren't such an embarrassment. These guys work their tails off but the complainers on this forum don't deserve any success.

Buzz isn't going anywhere. The guy has done things few Aggie basketball coaches have ever done. It's been a great season.

Saying a season is an "abject failure" if we don't go as far as any A&M b ball team ever is stupid.
Our basketball history is what it is. We aren't invested in it at a high level, we've never been. So to have wildly high expectations for no reason is dumb.
Will I be pissed if we don't make the s16 this year? Yes, probably. But we've never had the commitment to basketball to get the program to a level where losing in the round of 32 is a "failure."
So to say "if we don't have a top 4 all time season in program history it's a failure" is CRAZY.

It's not BAS, this game truly didn't matter. Everyone is letting the fact that this was against tu cloud their judgment. We have a week until we play again as a 3 seed(!) in the tournament. The outcome of this game has no bearing on that.

So in your hunky dory world we can lose all of our games including twice to our most hated rivals and their soon to be fired coach. But, if we beat the number 1 team in the country when they had nothing to play for and were down a dominant player in our house, the season is amazing. Interesting?!?
