Yeah, that's going to be what determines whether this game is a battle or if we can create some space. We're going to have to take and make threes, but unlike most of our games this season we should be able to spring Taylor and Wilcher (and Hefner?) open.

That's going to be the big difference in facing a Yale vs facing SEC teams, they aren't going to have the athletes to overplay Taylor/Wilcher/etc AND keep us out of the paint.

If the team that shows up is, for example, the one that beat Purdue in Indianapolis...Yale is toast.

F. 6'6". 8.7 ppg, 55%, 43%. 3 PT

The guards are their 3PT guys but forwards have 89 attempts (3 per game) and have made 40. They'll made 2 per game roughly.

Who said they're short? I said they're small around the basket, not small across the board. But I think the size of the guards will help a little because they don't be able to just blow by Taylor and Phelps.

Our offense won't be the problem, us getting out coached and giving up wide open 3's is what worries me. We will dare them to hit corner 3's. I hope I'm wrong.

A&M has zero buzz going into the tournament. Most people are picking Yale. I dont think anyone is predicting us to make it the 2nd weekend.

That's R worded. Some of us are negative and look for confirmation bias to prove what we see is right. That doesn't mean we want A&M to lose. I've seen this forever on Aggie message boards along with "we could win a NC and there'd be people complaining". Please stop with these dumb arguments. We are a huge school that has never won **** in the big 3 sports. Maybe mix it up and expect more like winners do.

Yeah, I do not think you are one of the people I was talking about. I definitely do think there are people who pop up after losses that would be happy if we lost round one to feel vindicated about the negative takes they have.

Of the big three, I think that basketball is the sport where it is least reasonable to expect championship contention because we do not allocate resources to hoops the way we do football and baseball. Based on spending, we should expect more, but it is hard to expect that because we routinely underachieve in football and honestly, I do not follow baseball nearly as closely, but that clearly is not going well.

Which is crazy since men's basketball is number 2 in revenue generation. We should be putting much more into basketball than baseball IMO.

This should spice up those resources conversations...
