The decision makers are dumbasses. Look what every other effing school has done in the major 2 sports in the past 10 years:

Sip - made CFB playoff twice
Baylol - won CBB NC
Purple Baylol - made CFB NC game
A&M - squat.
Yes. Ranked above 20 is mediocre. And yes, I only care about the final ranking. While I'd love to win a title, seriously contending is a must. You guys that are content with mediocrity because we've always sucked are the definition of complacent losers. I don't really mean offense by that. I'm just calling it what it is.GrayMatter said:
Seriously you're calling this year "mediocre"? Sounds like you only care about the end result and nothing else.
Comparing Big 12 FB results with SEC football or basketball this year is delusional. Virtually every Big 12 team that made the playoffs got curb stomped when they ran up against the SEC. If I'm a TCU fan, I wouldn't even care we made the natty after a 60-point loss.zooguy96 said:

Nevertheless they're pretty jazzed about the semifinal win over Michigan and making the championship game. I guess you just have better expectations for TCU.

Ranked above 20 (i.e. > 20) does not equal top 20. Nevertheless, anywhere around 20 is mediocre. Despite all the losers here saying otherwise, we should be shooting for at least top 10, meaning that we're at least in contention for a title. If that's not the standard/goal, then just shut it down. This isn't little league where we're just going to see the kids play and everyone gets a participation trophy.AggieCrew44 said:Top 20 team is not mediocre. This isn't footballtexag101 said:Yes. Read this thread again. It's shocking. There are literally people here saying we've always sucked, so we should be satisfied with Buzz's two tournament wins in six years and we realistically shouldn't/can't demand more. Buzz is a decent coach. He is likely going to get us into the tourny or close and then maybe a win. What he is not going to get us is a final four. So the real question is what is the expectation and what resources are we going to throw at it? My problem with Buzz has been that we pay him with the upper echelon of coaches. Which is obviously par for the course with A&M? I am not familiar with our NIL spend on basketball and Reed was never built for a top notch basketball program. So I think Buzz is the right guy for A&M if were not going to commit to the program. Just stop worrying about him leaving and stop throwing top tier money at him.
