In addition to Buzz wanting to leave, we encouraged him to leave to hire Beard. We failed. Now we may be getting a low major head coach that runs a gimmick full court press. Less than a year after hiring a hitting coach to completely nuke our baseball team

This AD is a complete disaster. Watching Maryland be good next season with two of our top players is going to be sickening

I'll be cheering for Maryland and Buzz - since that is where my favorite Aggies will be playing.

Hopefully our new hire and the team he scrapes together will give me another reason to cheer as well!

Can you just let it play out? I'm gonna guess the athletic director has done more research on this hire than you have. Are you at risk of losing your job if it doesn't work out? No.

Have you done any research on this guy at all? Probably not. If you did you'd probably realize this is a 180 from Buzz in terms of philosophy and engagement.

Will it work out? I don't know, neither do you. I was convinced Jimbo would win but look how that turned out.

If he's gonna be the guy, I'll still renew my season tickets. I'll support him. I will not throw a tantrum before his first game.

He had his best recruiting class coming in and the redshirt fish who were both top 150 recruits. He's need 2-3 portal guys but y'all act like the plan was bare

Hell all of those guys will basically be Maryland next season, plus a few others

I'm good with Buzz leaving.

One, he clearly wanted to leave.
Two, TWO total tournament wins in 6 years. One Vs a team that has never won a tournament game. The second Vs Yale. Which was a solid team but still, nothing to go, man I hope we don't lose this guy.

Class of 1984 - Corps of Cadets Squadron 15. Then Med School at Texas A&M College of Medicine and Residency at Ohio State University Medical Center before a 20 year Air Force career.

I'm an Aggie. But I can also cheer for other teams in addition to my Texas Aggies. For example I cheer for the local New Mexico Lobo team - as I live in Albuquerque.

Of course, I would cheer AGAINST those teams (Maryland and New Mexico) if they ever played my Texas Aggies.

I have no hard feelings against Buzz, Solo, Payne or the others that might move to College Park next year. I thoroughly enjoyed the last 6 years of Aggie Men's Basketball.

I wish them well in the future - and wish you the best as well, sir.

Exactly, he had been piecing that exact team together for a couple of years. He did a great job of getting the upper classmen to stick around and this was his year to make a deep run in the tourney. Instead of nailing down a 2 seed he went on one of his yearly losing streaks which dropped us down to a 4 seed and then we were upset by Michigan.

He took his shot and missed. Then took his ball and left.

No big loss he did us a favor. He built his team and it was an average team that played an ugly brand of ball that was hard to watch and not fan friendly.
It's all about hiring the right guy. We didn't get Beard who cares I do not. I think a guy like Huss or Murray is what we need.
