I'm just passing along something I heard second hand from someone that had spoken to his girlfriend. Something about applying for a work visa. This was even in context of talking about his play in the DR league. Probably nothing at all to it, but I still got a little excited.

What a time to be alive. This dude's been playing pro ball in europe for four years. In a legit league.

Like one of his teammates is Abdur-Rahkman who played for Michigan until 2018 and another one of his teammates is Goran Dragic's little brother who spent a couple seasons in the NBA like ten years ago.

This guy's been playing at a really high level of hoops.

Man, a scoring wing. While he's a little slow footed defensively, his quick release and height combo is a completely different kind of player than we have anywhere.

Man, lots of intriguing pieces.

Will he be on the roster and playing this year? I'm not too familiar with Basketball roster windows. For players to play this year, they just have to be enrolled for the fall semester? So the window is open for additions until August?

How does this roster keep getting more interesting?? What's next - Myles Garrett forgoes a season in the NFL to come join hoops for 1 more year of eligibility?

Either way, very exciting news!

Also, I don't know why but I am starting to feel a little bad for McDermott. I am seeing less and less of an opportunity for him to see the floor unless he shines and can beat out some of these more experienced players for a roster spot or coming off the bench in a meaningful way. I think that may be tough with all the 1 year eligibility players we have. I appreciate that he was the lone roster player who stuck around and hope he is rewarded for that at some level. By all accounts, he is talented, but we never got to see much.

Dominguez has a sweet stroke off the catch and shoot. Could easily see him averaging 10 points largely off of 3s alone.

Does he have 5 to play 4? Is he still an "amateur" even though hes playing for a professional team? Does that not matter anymore?
