In A&M's 2 losses, we played the #3 (LSU) and #6 (UF) defenses. A&M have averaged 18 points and 372 yards. A&M lost those games by an average of 4 points.

In MSU's 1 losses, they played the #1 (Bama) defense. MSU had 7 points and 256 yards. 57 yards and 7 points came from MSU's #2 offense after Bama was up 38-0.

MSU has played 3 defenses in the top 75: Bama (#1), Troy (#62) and Kentucky (#70). MSU has played two teams that aren't even shown on the total defense rankings (JSU and South Alabama). They have also played 3 teams in the 90's: MTSU (#94), Auburn (#95) and Tennessee (#99)

A&M has played 4 defenses in the top 75: LSU (#3), Florida (#6), Ole Miss (#47) and SMU (#63). A&M has played one team that isn't ranked (SCSU). A&M has played three teams with rankings above #85: Arky (#86), Auburn (#95) and La Tech (#118).

Tenn does have a good offense. The stats below are SEC games only. The first number is how many points Tenn scored and the second number is how much above that teams average Tenn scored.

Bama - Tenn scored 13, which is +4 pts more than Bama averages giving up in SEC games.
Florida - 20 which is +7
South Carolina - 35 which is +14
Miss St - 31 which is +8
Georgia - 44 which is +22
Total for all 5 games is +55, which averages to 11 pts per game better than an average offense. And they did it against good defenses.

Here are the same stats for Texas A&M
Florida - 20 which is +7
LSU - 19 which is +3
Ole Miss - 30 which is +3
Ark - 58 which is +27
Auburn - 63 which is +32
Total is +72 which is +14 points per game above average. Definately an above average offense. Numbers are slightly inflated against 2 below average defenses (Ark and Aub).

Here are Miss State's numbers
Bama - 7 which is (2) below Bama's average
Auburn - 28, which is (3) below
KY - 27 which is (9) below
Tenn - 41 which is (1) below
They are (15) below which is 4 pts per game below average. And its even worse because they played the 3 worst defenses in the conference. Definately a below SEC average offense.

A&M will score more than 50, but Miss St will do a little damage of their own on offense and score in the high twenties, allowing Manziel to stay in the game and break his record again.

This would be great. It would setup into the bama game perfectly. We would probably be the game of the week in Tuscaloosa. Is there a better matchup that week? Gameday might be there. But of course we have to TCB in Starksville with MSU.

I skipped ahead a little bit, but saw that someone twice brought up MSU faced #29 offense Tennessee. #29, and you allowed 31 points. We are #5 total offense and #3 scoring. Why does bringing up Tennessee help your argument that your defense will stop us?

My bad... I didn't realize MSU would be so easy for out RBs to get yards on which took away yards from Manziel's stats and also shortened the game with the 360 yards rushing we had. Also, Manziel was not allowed to finish the game because of Sumlin showing mercy.
