Disgusting and damning if true, but I would encourage everyone to wait until real proof is made public on this before running wild with this as fact. It has already been a very tough week and having to wipe egg off your face would be just another bitter pill to swallow.

Doing what he did violated every contract for A&M and baseball. He essentially was doing what's in the best interest for another team while being employed by A&M

The entire SEC to be in our corner. NIL and portal were already a joke but this has the makings of the absolute worst case scenario of this day and age in college athletics.

Nothing will happen. No evidence will ever get leaked. This will all get shut down quickly with a couple of transactions to keep people quiet.

I think this is it. I dont think he ever liked it here. The overreaction to the newspaper, complaining about one thing or another constantly. I dont ever expect our coaches to buy all the way in and become Aggies, but I think Jim ended up with something resembling disdain for our fanbase. Some folks have thrown out Turgeon 2.0, and I think that is apt. There was just always an air of superiority towards us.

Yep. Which is why this needs to be punished. He didn't leave us for Florida and take kids. He didn't move to a better league. He literally went to the one place that would be unforgivable, took his whole staff, and is trying to take players. He did this with intent. It wasn't just a "better job". It was done in a way that intentionally harmed us.

Yes, sure they wanted to win, but what a distraction to the players already knowing they were leaving for tu and bigger $$$ and some of the others that had to have known as well. Shocked it wasnt leaked earlier by a player's family/girlfriend/friend of a friend, etc.

One different swing/pitch by any number of the players could have been the difference in game 3 vs. them thinking about the impending transfer to tu....

Am I being dramatic? This hire is the most important athletic hire in the history of men's Texas A & M sports.

Let me lay out my case:

1) This sucks

2) He's a great coach; losing him to them hurts.

3) The way he did this has irreparably harmed his reputation but if he wins ( which he likely will ) none of this will matter.

4) The reality is the perception that we are little brother has always been there for better or worse. It's not going away, but I think it is not an understatement that this hire will have ripple effects across other sports and the sporting world in general. Do we really think that a recruit considering us or them won't remember this that arguably a top 5 coach in their respective sport chose them over us.

5) We have to absolutely nail this. It has to be the biggest fish. I don't know who that is. Honestly, it has to be Vitello or Corbin. Perhaps Forbes at UNC.

That's it. There are repercussions far beyond baseball if we don't get this right. Vitello would be an absolute **** you right back at them. Game on.

College athletics has become such a slimy affair. It breaks my heart.

And many will say, including many Aggies here, that universities have no choice but be part of the slime to stay in the game and that just breaks my heart even more.

It is becoming very clear that there is NO place in college athletics for loyalty, integrity and honesty anymore.

ESPN is going to have a hell of a time finding and selling those feel-good, sob stories for Gameday.

This plan has been in the making since he came here. He wanted tu job, but CDC couldnt fire pierce with how he was performing at tu at the time. Whats the most pain they can put on their rival? Have a coach go there, win, and then steal him when the moment is right… all the way up to game 3 of cws finals. Max pain. He didnt account for the colossal **** up of a post game interview from schloss. And not sure if they just thought they would get away with the lie and deceit, and nil recruiting our players to tu while still being head coach at a&m. Hope it all comes out. While I agree this move has been in works for weeks, maybe months. This set-up is not proof of that. I have friends that could throw this together in a few hours.

We need a DA or State prosecutor to address this violation of state law if he was using a burner phone on state business to hide from proper oversight. This isn't a matter we hire Buzbee for.
