Someone posted that Vegas odds for Monday's game was 210 to 240 (something like that, don't recall the exact number) but finished by stating the odds were predicting a TN blowout. I don't exactly buy it, but there is ONE VERY good reason to throw the series if he knew he was leaving already: recruiting. He now has to recruit against us. Do you think he'd prefer to recruit against the champ, and the momentum that brings with it, or runner-up?

Doubt all of that matters much. Players would play for the coach who won the series not the school.
School affiliations mean absolutely NOTHING. We all knew this was coming, we are just starting to see it truly take hold.
It means something to some of them. And some have made it clear that they aren't going anywhere (when they reasonably could).
all the reason he needed to throw it is that is what his new masters wanted.

CDC is not stupid enough to leave a trail that will lead back to Texas. I'd expect them to use untraceable phones and actual phone calls, through proxies, as a very basic precaution. This type of thing has to be thought through beforehand. I expect a lot of allegations, scant evidence all this to blow over relatively soon.

I disagree. They could have pushed their timing on the firing and the hiring one day and it would have still be a huge shock and big middle finger to A&M. They chose to throw caution to the wind and go for maximum damage. I've seen smart people make mistakes out of arrogance. It seems likely a lot of that happened here. What we can get evidence to prove and what we do with that remains to be seen.

Unless Schloss or A&M staff gave the burner phones to the students and/or communications between Schloss and those proxy's was coordinated, I'm not sure where this goes.
But if Schloss was telling our player during the season and during CWS that he was leaving for Austin and at the same time NIL people from Austin were contacting our players (via burner phones), that is underhanded to say the least.
