Also got swept by Lamar at home with two of the three games not even being competitive. Eliminated at home by UConn. What would happen here if the Aggies got eliminated in the regional they hosted because they lost twice to UConn?

Edit to say if he can pull Early back to keep some of the portal guys that would at least be some ketchup on this **** sandwich.

Don't question the pitching. Can he put together an offense? His has been co sisterly mediocre. Is that because he can't recruit hitters or he can't evaluate them? Oklahoma isn't premiere but no reason their offense shouldn't be much better given the level of conference competition.

Mediocre hire. Could turn out to be good. Who knows. OU is probably happy they can try to find an upgrade though. He's not elite.

He would have much better talent here and that should not happen. Also don't base a hire by cherry picking individual games or series, because I'm sure there are arguments to the opposite like beating us twice in Omaha

For the record he's not my top choice at all, I wanted someone from like Virginia, Louisville, Wake Forest, Kentucky or others like that

Also saw it posted that his conference record in the big 12 over his tenure is worse than Childress conference record was in the SEC.

I know nothing of the guy, but he has 6k+ followers and covers OU. Not saying he is their Looch but it's not a guy with 200 followers either.

UConn baseball is actually pretty strong. They are on their 4th baseball coach since 1936.

Nothing wrong with Skip Johnson. Not a home run hire, but there is so much more to a program than who sits in the head coach's office. He can win a ton of games.

Wouldn't be mad at Skip at all. Dude can coach pitching and he knows Texas baseball recruiting. With our resources he can keep us at the top.

People getting mad at this are doing it just because we didn't hire the untouchables. Skip is a good baseball coach and players love him. The outrage is completely unwarranted and is only going to hurt our chances at keeping some of these players around.
