He didn't fumble the ballpark renovations; that was Bjork.
If you are upset about this alleged conversation on May 31, then you either haven't read any of the other posts regarding the timing of this conversation (weeks after Schloss agreed to take the t.u. job and word started circulating in recruiting circles), or you just don't understand the significance of that fact.
Trev Alberts confronted am employee that he knew had agreed to take another job. He gave Schloss a chance to come clean, but Schloss stuck with the lie. At that point, there wasn't anything Trev could do short of firing Schloss (and foregoing the $2.7 million buyout), which would have probably derailed the season. Say what you want about Schloss's integrity, but he (and his staff) almost got us a title. I think Trev made the right move.
