I am confident that Jace will be staying at A&M.
I never saw that it said he was GOING to Tennessee. Just that he and Vitello had talked.dabo man said:
It was from an X account with a misspelling of Schlossnagle.
There was another thread that he was going to Tennessee. That one didn't even offer a source, and AFAIK, it's still up.
he's literally the #1 player in the portal. If he doesn't have 100 offers it's just because he didn't want to answer the phone 100 times.trouble said:
He has an offer. We'll see what happens.

I would not put stock on Camarillo to the draft.
If everyone comes back, I'd give 3rd to Kent, Gavin to LF, and Bergevin coming in probably takes 1st. Catcher TBA.
Best case scenario in my mind (not suggesting the kids are on board or ok with this):
1b-Bergevin
2b-Kent
3b-Hensler
SS-Camarillo
LF-Grahovac
CF-Laviolette
RF-Sorrell
C-TBD
To me, Kent looks too slow for SS.Gyles Marrett said:
Where are you getting this info that Kent wants assurances to play SS. Haven't seen that anywhere. He's a very natural 2nd baseman.

Hensler was in Baton Rouge this weekend for a visit, I think he decommited when Schloss left

Wut? Which teams/pitchers did Chestnut get hits off of? I don't remember him ever being better than our worst batter in the lineup. Saying he's even one of the best feels like Biden-level of delusion.Tergdor said:Chestnut was the best hitter in the lineup during SEC play. I don't think you can just take him out.COYOTE1213 said:
Love Chestnut. Kent can name his position. And that is based on the year not just June.
I do wonder if Chestnut can play 3B if Hensler doesn't come.
I'm sorry, but we're going to need a stat-breakdown on that. And are we saying the regional teams, and super-regional teams, and World Series teams we played were all 100x better than the SEC? Chestnut couldn't buy a hit in the postseason. Was a black hole. Surely he's like our 1st guy off the bench to come in at best.Sean98 said:He was. And I don't think he has the arm to play 3rd. If Hensler doesn't come it's clear Gavin is 3b in my mind. If Hensler does Gavin still might be 3b.
I'm sure he'll find a spot somewhere. Maybe not as a week-to-week starter, though. Might be great for PR if we get a good base running coach this time
A&M has this fun little thing called a website. There's an athletic department one and even one just for baseball. They are kind enough to post statistics on what actually occurs during each game. These "stats" as we call them are sortable. Go sort away buddy boy.Ag1188 said:I'm sorry, but we're going to need a stat-breakdown on that. I thought Ali announced he's coming back and removed himself from the portal. Was that a dream?

That happened. Even so, he is still eligible for the draft and could leave depending on who drafts him. Baseball doesn't work the same as other sports where you have to declare for the draft.
