Here's the deal. Call me old school.

NONE OF THIS MATTERS.

ZERO.

As long as this team performs within SEC play.

They can lose every single game for all I care prior to SEC play. Is it ideal? Is it a bit embarrassing?

Sure. But all I care about is that this team qualifies to host a Regional.

I didnt expect this but I certainly expected Earley to be figuring things out into mid-season.

Cut the man and his players some slack. Start the *****ing, moaning and asking for him to be fired once they fall on their face within SEC play. PLEASE.

I'm not embarrassed at all. It's college baseball, for heaven's sake. I love this team and I love our school, but the way our programs perform on the field, court, pool, etc. doesn't embarrass me ever. Life is way too short to get embarrassed by what 18-22 year old young adults do in an athletic competition.

What does embarrass me is how - for example - the yell leaders act, both on and off the field. The social media cringe-worthy videos and the flouncy twirling around on national TV are an extreme embarrassment for me. Those dudes are supposed to be front-and-center representatives of the university, yet time and time again they disgrace the school. I would trade all wins in every sport for a set of yell leaders that didn't make my skin crawl.

It does matter! Every year there may only be one or two clear cut teams for a national seed. Then comes the next tier of teams and games out of conference do impact your National seed and the ability to host a Super. So unless we take the top spot in conference, which will require sweeps not 2 of 3 every weekend, these non-conference games will matter. Only benefit to us is that we lost these games early in the season so if were in the mix we will likely be strong at the end.

There was recently some video they posted to social media where the dudes are all laying on a bed, doing some sort of routine (?) where they were swaying their sock-covered feet back and forth to the beat of some song. I saw about 5 seconds of it and turned it off. It was...um...strange, to say the least.
