Awful coaching and effort by the players. 11 games is not a slump but a bad trend.

They are mentally ****ed right now. Playing with the weight of the world on their shoulders. You can't play baseball like that no matter how talented you are, which gives me hope that if they can get out of their funk that they can still be a really good team.

How exactly are we toast?
I still totally believe this team finds itself. Stop worrying, go to bed. Get ready for tomorrow night.
I think anyone seriously considering post season play this point is dreamingW said:
have to go back to 2001...
to find the last A&M team that started 6-5 (or worse) after 11 games
the 2001 team missed regional play despite a 15-15 conference record and 3-1 mark in the Big 12 tournament
too many non-conference and midweek losses doomed their RPI

We have lost 5 of our last 6 games, including our last 3 home games. This is not a good sign before SEC play begins with a home series against Alabama on 3/14.

I am fine if we never sac bunt. It is just wasting outs.W said:
more alarm bells thru 11 games:
8 stolen bases
1 sac fly
0 sac bunts
there is zero manufacturing or situational awareness going on. It's just go-to-the-plate and swing as hard as you can.
A&M's opponents:
10 stolen bases
3 sac flies
7 sac bunts
It's getting late early. This team really needs to turn around quick.Bryanisbest said:
Way too early for these funereal comments about Earley and Aggie baseball. Wow! Just wow!
