I've been to Omaha w/o the Ags being there. Yes, it more impactful when we're in it, but it's still a good time - especially for boys who are into baseball. Just shorten your stay if we're not there.
Omaha is great either way... And way less stressful when the Ags aren't there.

I hope/wish you were right in your thinking but it just isn't there. Something is up with this team. All the talent and skill but yet can't put it together consistently against much lesser opponents. This baseball season will end up being one of the greatest disappointments given how excited we all were coming into it. Very disappointing
You aren't accounting for the injuries and how significant they are. We have lost 2 big bats and a big arm. Without those guys, we would not have been the #1 team in the country. Hopefully the arm and one of those bats is back soon. Fingers crossed.

Also, don't give up on this team. I still think they get things rolling!

If you don't have a team in it, I would think it would be most fun to go early when all the fanbases are still there.

I'd like to do it sometime - preferably with the good guys in it, but I think it'd be a fun event for a college baseball fan regardless.

A man with young kids takes the job that's immediately available. Not exactly shocking.

It's a decent possibility, enough for me. Expectation are clearly a lot less than before the season started, but I'd like to think we can make the tournament and potential run. That would be a positive since it's year one (and many will rightfully debate that point as well).

Correct - I was there during the first week when I went w/o the Ags. Wore my Aggie shirts too.

I've been 4 times with the Ags. Last year I just went to the championship series. I made the gamble, made a hotel reservation in April, and it paid off. So glad I did it.

Two best Aggie sporting events we have ever been to are the CWS and first rounds of the NCAA basketball tourneys.

Looking at the remaining baseball series schedules - all tough opponents on the road.....
Here's a bit more realistic prediction.
This team will finish the season with a losing record.
That's right, below 0.500 and there is no possible way the Aggie baseball team finishes ranked in the top 30.
This is the worst "team" we have ever fielded. They all think they are still great since they began ranked #1.
Even during the lean years of Childress and after Johnson's recruiting began to taper off, we would not get swept at home with decent starting pitching.
They just got swept at home in conference by a team that won't beat Tennessee, or Florida, or other powerhouses in the SEC.

We suck worse than anyone could possibly imagine AGAIN.

The HC is not ready for this level. The AD did not do his homework and has little experience hiring coaches. The football coaching hiring at Nebraska may pay off but that's been the limit of his hiring experience. The change needs to be made now. This season is over. You must look at the long-term. He is not ready at this level and we need to have competitive teams. Jason Hutchins has been there for a while and should be named the interim. He has a national reputation and is well respected. He can assess the team objectively. The AD needs to have a committee appointed to do a nationwide search for a coach that has not only a winning pedigree but has demonstrated success at the College World Series level. The AD should not make this hire by himself as his judgment is suspect. It continues to be suspect, witnessed the women's basketball coach, the seventh highest paid coach in the country and the team has to go some to be bad.

The most recent interviews with Earley appear to reveal through his body language, facial expressions, blank stares, and short, canned responses to questions that he is frustrated, confused, and overwhelmed by the failure of the team. He figuratively looks like a man standing on a cliff and leaning forward.

I agree with others here that it would be a colossal mistake to fire him during the season. However, If the current campaign ends in crushing disappointment or embarrassment, I sense the fan base, much stronger and more influential than those supporting soccer and WBB, will successfully demand a change be made.

TA cannot hide from the career challenging shame of allowing multiple sports programs to wither and die for lack of a renewed financial investment, especially after recently completing the hugely lucrative Playfly multimedia rights deal.

Despite the results to-date, it is far too soon to be hopeless. Let's support our team and see what happens.
