Earley might be in over his head, but the real problem is Trev. It's obviously not just baseball either. Until he is replaced, we might as well get used to the way things are.

Sorry Earley, I wanted you to have this amazing story made of movies.

Fact is, you are a poor HC.
Fact is, this is a talented baseball team that looks like they suck arse.
Fact is, it was a experiment of pure failure.

We would have been better off hiring a coach with a lot of experience and tenure that would have won more games with this entire lineup at Texas.

I hate saying this but it is the hard truth. I refused to accept it as a lover of this team and sports.

But that's it.

Time to move on and if our AD doesnt land a HUGE HR hire with this much advanced notice? We are royally screwed.

I am pissed and this entire team sucks terrible. Let them all leave...every single one of them. PISSED. No excuses whatsoever. Clueless staff.

I know it's easy and the popular thing to do is pile on the coach.
But this is on players also
Some of you act like if players don't produce it's 100% on the coach. Sorry that's not reality
Has he made mistakes ? 100%
Does he need to be retained .. maybe not

But quit acting like it's all on Earley .

I really don't think anyone is putting all the blame on Earley, it's just that in this era of paid merc$, the coach takes groups of players with them to the new gig (no pun intended) that they had planned two years prior to taking the job and they get by with no one stopping it so everyone wants this coach AND his players to head down - one way on Highway 6 (even though it runs both ways as do most highways).

I just can not understand or justify with our resources, enrollment and everything we have that we can even tolerate the failure of our athletic department. We pay great and give coaches what they want but struggle to even get top tier hires

To think we were all ready to tar and feather Ross Bjork and run him out of town on a rail. The man looks like an absolute genius right now in comparison. And he's currently sitting up there in Columbus with his big ol natty trophy just laughing his ass off at us right now

The level of stench in this whole athletic department right now is at an all time low and I've been following A&M athletics for over 40 years. Thank you Trisha and the track team for giving us at least a couple of beams of sunshine
Let's just come out and say it. This is Baylor-tier type **** going on in our AD.

We better wake the **** up soon, or else we could be spending our time wandering the desert for 30 years like they did.

Trev has taken a wrecking ball to whatever advantage we had since 2012.

If coach Fran hit me up with a newsletter invite and claimed that he was sent here to do so on purpose, I would probably subscribe to hear more about it...

We just hired a coach in basketball from a school I have never heard of that has high school junior varsity credentials in his resume write-up.
Given the 0 championships among the big 3, we've already been in this hell for a long time.

No lie, we all were.

We were still high on adrenaline after almost winning our first CWS Title.

And we all knew how it went after that.

Holding onto the roster and keeping their hitting coach seemed like an acceptable counter-punch. And then we got an incredible portal-haul. And then we were anointed with a Preseason #1.

And then we took the field.

I still believe that Coach Earley is an exceptionally talented coach. I think from the jump this was a lose/lose situation for him to be in (largely due to the absolute whirlwind speed that everything happened last fall coupled with the sloth-like reaction by our Athletic Department) and he tried to make the best outcome and it just didnt pan out.

Trev needs to go. He is 3/3 for Titanic-level disasters at every cubicle of the big 3.

IDGAF who's on the roster. Yes I know the players are equally as responsible but as the old saying goes, you can't fire the players (although with their now-semi-pro NIL value you SHOULD be able to).
I've tried to remain calm about it all year, be rational. But tonight was the tipping point. Burn it down. All of it. Rip the bandaid off. We made a huge mistake (in hindsight of course) letting the team hold Alberts hostage by threatening to leave en masse if they didn't get "their guy". Well, here's your Shangri La, boys.

Fielding the worst Aggie baseball team with arguably, the most talented roster ever at A&M, is grounds for mid season firing, no matter who you are.

The fall from grace has been nothing short of remarkable, and it looks as though there is no end in sight.

Don't kid yourself. Bjork is one of the chief reasons we are in this mess.

He owns the bad contracts and was doing such a crappy job if OSU hadn't hired him, he would have been on the unemployment line because we weren't renewing his contract.

Bjork failed up high enough to be gifted a national championship by Ryan Day and big money boosters at OSU.

This season is so bad, and this team and staff such a huge disappointment, I never could have imagined a situation where it was possible, but I'd be of half a mind if I am Trev to ask Earley at the firing table if he'd be willing to voluntarily forego his buyout money and apologize to the fans and donors on his way out. Just a mutual parting of the ways. I'm not even mad at him. The way the change happened, we weren't left with a lot of options. We took a real flyer on him, he bet on himself. It just didn't work. He's learned a lot this year I'm sure, and was handsomely compensated for it, but even he has to realize that what we paid for is not even a modicum of what we got.

This is not the most talented roster we have ever had.

I would argue at least three maybe four were better including last season even without the injuries.

While we had very little time last year to hire a new coach, this year is the exact opposite. IF (a BIG if) our AD is doing his job and cares about the baseball program, he's working back channels right now. It's clear to anyone now that Earley will need to go at the end of the season. Time for a massive reset, coaches and players.

There are some big name guys I would want to make a run at, but you have to find someone who is willing to leave, which is rare. Schloss was willing to leave because he was going through a divorce. Kevin O'Sullivan might be willing to leave Florida, due to some unfortunate circumstances, but he's having a rough year on the field (might be a little bit too much like another big name hire we made from the state of Florida). The guy I'm thinking might be the best hire, Rob Vaughn, would not be considered a "huge" hire, and there are some other guys who we might hire who could be good hires but would not be a PR hit.
Vaughn would 100% be a home run hire.

I don't blame Trev either, as he was in a tight spot given the timing. However, what I do want to know is what Earley said in his interview that led to Trev saying, "he blew me away." Trev has repeated that this spring.

The reason I question this very point is that Earley is not good in media interviews. So, does he actually interview well at all?

I have had these same thoughts many times. Last fall on his interviews with Louie, he answered one of my questions pertaining to the bullpen. After his answer, I was thinking, darn, Bigio would be proud of that one. There's no way Earley went into those interviews with Trev and was impressive.

Either Trev lied to himself or he just provided PC and supportive comments to try to spin everything as a positive moving forward.
